Letter: Remember this on Mother's Day

Why is it that through the decades no one has been able to make an apple pie as good as that baked by our mom? Was it made with an apple variety that is no longer grown? Were the apples organically grown? Were the youth of our day in need of more energy from work and play instead of the sedate activities around TV? Was it the home-grown wood that ... Full Story

My question for you is, are you a better mom to your kids than what you experienced? Or do you serve them white rice with powdered milk too?

Getting back to the original letter, I believe, given 500,000,000 (half billion) apple pies and receiving 500.000.000 different responses, there will only be one answer. My moms is the best. even if it only an apple sliced and baked with the worst pie crust in the world, my moms was the best, because of what she put into it. I know that this is as smarmy, obsequious, unctuous, gushy, fawning and sycophantically "Hallmark Moment" as they come, but it is the love and effort that she put into the pie, and the love appreciation which we gave back to her. My lemon meringue tarts however were much better than hers.
Happy Mothers Day "Wilma" to the mother of my daughter "Pebbles" and to my mother "Edna Flintstone" and to "Pearl Slaghoople" my mother in law.
