Does Michelle O know that you are doing articles on sugary deserts? I think that any sugar based desert should first be approved by the White House before being sold. They are not qualified to run a Country, except into the ground), maybe this is their calling.

I'd just as soon bake my own. I've never had pie from a restaurant or grocery store that was comparable to homemade.

Denise, you actually ate at the Grill & Skillet? What a brave lady! Having lived in this neighborhood for 50+ years, and having been there several times through the years, amazed you didn't catch ptomaine poisioning. Perhaps they finally removed the ancient TV set, but how about 60 years of grime and grease? I am always amazed this place passes the health inspection.

Oh and BTW, you should have visited the Nutcracker diner in Pataskala on Rt. 16. Now, there's a place that makes terrific homemade pies, pastries, candies, etc. and is a wonderful rendition of what a homemade diner should be.

We had a guy at my high school who took his date to Ponderosa before prom. His date also reported that he didn't even clean the fast food wrappers out of his beater car before their date. This was back in the 80's.

Grill and Skillet is the sickist nastiest diner restaurant i have ever been to. I dont understand for the life of me how this place still is able to operate without being closed due to health violations. First off the restroom is in the kitchen awful disgusting rite. Secondly if you ever to dine in. Wipe the rim of your glass with your napkin. I personally guarantee there will be brown grime on the napkin. This place is the pits the health inspector is obviously paid off when he enters this establishment. The owner is a sleeze ball who hires drug addicts and prostitutes to run his DUMP! STAY AWAY!

The best pie I've actually eaten here is more like a shepards' pie. But, it's made with rabbit. It's offered only during certain days of the month though, as rabbit is not easily attained. It's usually on the menu sometime after the Ohio Fair. Next time you stop by, ask if you can sample the hare pie. It's a specialty.

The Angry Baker is a great spot to have lunch or for carryout.
Newly opened and has great food and baked goods.
Not much parking except on the side street. is the only bad thing.
