Hi all. I'm looking to start an organic lifestyle. I want to make sure I'm eating healthy as well as using all natural products when I can. I found this site called https://www.classicsugar.com that has all natural bath and body products. I use their lotions and hand creams as there are no perservatives in their materials (plus everything is made by hand). My body product source is covered. Now I'd like to start eating all natural food and using all natural cleaning supplies. Does anyone have any ideas where to start? Thanks!

Well, depending on your budget, you can start by going to see a nutritionist. There are a ton in the Bay Area, so I would recommend looking on Yelp and Angie's List. To start eating natural food, the obvious places that come to mind are sprouts and whole foods. But, I would make a diet list for foods you can and cannot eat if you're on an organic/natural food diet. I would head to whole foods and ask someone working there about advice - they're usually all very friendly. Hope this helps. Don't forget to exercise everyday!

Which reminds me - I was in the same position as you a few years ago. While I was doing some research, I came across a great article on how to get access to organic food. Even though it discusses places in Australia, the 5 suggestions can be applied anywhere. Here's the article

Thanks for all of the comments Cfindley. This is such great advice. I'm far away from my goal, but I guess I have to start some where right? I'll definitely take a look at the resources you provided.

start by small step that can make giant difference
avoid food additives and preservatives
avoid processed food
eat fresh and home made

you do that..keep up with the whole 3 for 2-3 months
then you can talk about moving to pure organic

That's awesome your trying to live an organic Lifestyle.

The best way I know how is to make sure you source all your food locally. This means finding farmer and farmers Markets to buy your food from.

I use this site called Agrilicious.org to find all food in my area. You should check it out if your are truly serious about living he organic lifestyle.
