I have done web searches and looked at the Ingles website. I've found nothing about Harvest Farms. I know it's the Ingles brand organic, but more information needs to be on the product label, as well as detailed information on their website. Labels for other brands list the location where the product originated, HF should do the same. I have bought several HF products, but havent' bought anymore, because of the obscurity. Also, what's the difference in HF meat and Ingles brand meat? They are both packaged side by side at the same stores. I don't know, but my thought is they're the same thing - one just has a different label and higher price.

We were told by an employee of Ingle's corporate office (that you can phone by calling the phone number on the bottom of your sales receipts) to check this website for information on their Harvest Farms beef to check if it is grass-fed or not. http://www.naturesourcebeef.com/OurStory.aspx It is organic and they are fed grass and grains, and they do feed the cattle corn for the last weeks according to this website. Read the website for more information. Hope this helps.
The beef cattle are fed corn the last few weeks to fatten them up. Read "The Omnivore's Dilemma" by Michael Pollan. It is a real eye opener on the organic v. industrial production of food.

Daily Horoscope for December 6

Pisces

Keep well clear of anything or anyone that looks like being a problem, but at least you can hold your own. This is a marvellous day for taking care of someone who isn't very well at the moment or who needs all the sympathy and understanding you can give them.
