Saved from what? Saved by whom? I don't go to church because it's a meeting point for the gullible [you call them faithful]. I could care less about fellowship with people who have surrendered their critical faculties of thought. Christians are far from perfect because they have given themselves over to a man forged manacle which created them sick and commands them to be well. A heavenly dictator who can convict you of thought crime. Turn on your brain and stop accepting something your told because it makes you feel better about your life.

I suggest you try out the Episcopal Church. Not all Christians are intolerant. We welcome literally EVERYONE, because God does too.

Otherwise a curse upon them LMAO Funny how the preacher man decided to use that particular OT concept while claiming to be free from nearly every other one. And changed it to cash, notice that, when bible tithes were never cash. Also tithes were to go to Levite priests, orphans, widows...imagine if a widow showed up at church and asked for her share of the church's tithes? They would run her out of there pretty damn fast. False prophets and harlots

False prophets and harlots Obviously, you've never been to an Episcopal Church. There are several of us that can't afford to tithe properly and they haven't run us off yet. Please stop in at St. James and do a little research before you lump us in with the rest

bush man wrote: <quoted text> if u are interested in coming back to church, i would like to invite u to CROSSWIND. we are in the process of getting a new pastor, but we continue the word of GOD, regardless. I have considered Crosswinds but when I visited their website, I noticed that most of the leaders were educated from a Baptist based school. Does Crosswinds have a Baptist theology? I've gone to several so called "full gospel" churches only to find that they dont really believe in all the scripture. So tired of churches "playing" church!!!

Yes JESUS died but HE did not stay dead HE arose from the dead and sits at the right hand of GOD today as intercessor for all that believe in HIM, thats where it's at,, you have to believe HE arose from the dead, if you don't believe that then forget all the other things.but HE still loves you and will save you if you believe,, I believe in HIM enough that I stake my life and ever lasting soul on HIM.

I have been involved with area churches for years. I does seem that there has been a slow change in them. It is not one for the good, but first if you aren't in church you have no right to judge. Second, if you are worried about the directions the churches are going then you have answered your own questions as to how important they are to our culture. Everyone from our church leaders to concerned people need to look at what is happening. Religion-yes. selfserving-yes. we need to stop entertaining ourselves and let God back in.- Oh and without some idiot saying "God told him"

The People Place Assembly of God in South Fulton has a new pastor, Carl Kizer. It is a spirit-filled church and I think they are on the brink of a mighty move of God.

Still Looking wrote: I've been looking for a Spirit filled church for months. So far, I havent found one. I've "bounced around" from church to church but none seem to really be looking for God's will. They "play" church on sunday but on monday they do whatever they want to. This is one of the reasons why the world won't turn to Christ! They hear the so-called christians profess God on sunday, but on monday they arent living any better than lost people. This is why we are called hypocrites. I'm going to try the Assembly of God in Union City today. I heard they are different. God Bless! We will never find a perfect church because we are not perfect people, we as individuals should go to church and do the best we can after we are saved to be an example to others, I love where I go to church and love the people who go there. We don't quit going to WalMart or anywhere else because hypocrites are there. I had rather be in church with them than be in hell with them, that is no reason not to go to church, it is a copout for people who are looking for an excuse to not go to church. Have a good day, I hope all of you find a good church and support it, the way things are shaping up we might not have that privilege long. GOD bless you.

PLZ, the hypocrites aren't at wal-mart they are at St Mary's catholic church in Jackson Tn. I heard they have their own adulterers pew. Going to church doesn't make you a good person, your behavior does.

Christians attend church because we are required to (Hebrews 10:24-25). If you do not attend church then you need to examine yourself to see if you are truly setting aside time to actually WORSHIP God in total mind and spirit. As a Christian you need spiritual food, encouragement, rest, time to focus on God, study His Word, and fellowship with fellow believers. If you are a Christian and you have no desire for these things, then you should examine your heart. Don't go to church looking for perfection in the members. Christians go to church because we know we are simply wretched sinners and are thankful that our Savior took the punishment for our sins. Thank God for GRACE.
