Officially, this might appear to be the case but in reality, New Zealand is riven with social and racial division. The rich hate the poor and vice versa and Maori hate the Whites, Indians, Asians, Samoans, Tongans, Tokelauan's, etc.
The Whites own most of the assets and as a consequence hate everyone else especially those who want to barge in on their economic and political dominance.
Maori are treated like intellectually challenged pet poodles by the government who are afraid to stop their corrupt activities - gangs, drugs, drink, cigarettes, ripping off their iwi, and whanau for their own personal gain, beating up their wives, murdering their children and tourists, not paying their taxes.
Jeez, if it's like this in New Zealand and we headed the rest of the world in this 'Social progress' ranking, what must the rest of the world be like??? The sooner the aliens arrive from outer space and do a cull, the better...what do you think?

...oh, I forgot to mention, gay marriage is legal but EVERYONE hates the gays despite the change in the law. Some may call that social progress, but the ordinary people in New Zealand don't!
