Stick with the Biblical clean foods that are for Christians too. Horse do not chew the cud. Their meat is unclean or polluted. It has always been the pagans who eat anything that moves and enjoy getting believers to do as they do.

True Christians are not under the Law of Moses, that Law was done away with the day Jesus died for mankind.
Galatians 3:24,25

A person may eat any animal they choose to, the act of hunting the animal for sport is not acceptable Christian conduct today. James 4:4

Yes it is the Law of Moses written in a BOOK (Gal 3:10) as opposed to God's 10C Law that is for ever.

God's first commandment says to have no other gods. Thus we as followers of God the Creator who we have all known as Jesus follow what he has told his people, including instructions on a clean diet. Not all animals are clean to eat. We are told specifically which are not.

The part of the Law of Moses that was "nailed to the cross" is found in Col 2:14-17 --- the Jewish sacrificial system as Jesus was the final sacrifice. Today no sacrifice is needed to atone for sin, rather faith in Jesus alone.(Rev 14:12)

RE: What the bible used to say.
..... These days you have only government-inspected meats, unlikely to kill you, in stores, but in the old days they told people it's a prohibition from God, so that they won't buy certain meats. LIVES WERE, AND ARE BEING SAVED by proper food inspections/prohibitions.
