I have been doing Bikram Yoga twice a week for over 7 years. I agree completely with Lan's comments about feeling energized, younger and in touch with my entire body. The intense sweat cleanses and detoxifies your body so that your organs are clean, your skin is clearer and younger looking and you just feel amazing. It is especially good for those with spinal problems or tightness. The key is to be consistent. You do not have to do it every day or even every other day- 2-3 times a week is ideal to maintain flexibility.

This is great! just keep moving is the key I like dancing and walking. I lose 3 to 4 pounds a week and eat light to med. meals, I am 57ers people say I look 47ers unless they lie, but never the less I fell and look great.

What a waste of public funds... went to med school by mistake and took the place of someone who might have cared about the art. Now our idiot paper thinks this is just peachy.

Ah Mencken - Interesting comment. Lan is a true teacher and has led numerous people to a much healthier lifestyle by making her passion her career. You ought to take one or two classes to see what its like to be in the presence of someone who truly cares for your well being instead of the next piece of change they can bill your insurance company.

I'll pay for your first week of classes.

LOVE BIKRAM yOGA, HOWEVER WOULD NOT RECOMMEND LAN'S STUDIO. SHE LACKS HONESTY AS WITNESSED BY MYSELF AND FELLOW YOGEE FRIEND AS IT RELATES TO LONG TERM PACKAGE BUYS. SHE'LL SAY NO PROBLEM, JUST LET ME KNOW WHEN YOU ARE OUT OF TOWN AND WILL EXTEND YOUR MEMBERSHIP, BUT WHEN IT COMES TIME SHE TREATS YOU LIKE A CHILD AND ASKS TO BRING IN TRAVEL ARRANGEMENTS AFTER YOU NOTIFIED HER AHEAD OF TIME. VERY UNCOOL, THIS IS FROM SOMEONE WHO HAS ATTENDED HER PLACE FOR OVER 1 1/2.

Dear Mr. Philip Coutou: I feel compel to respond to your most unyogic comments. It has been our long standing policy since the studio opened that there are no refunds or exchanges on class packages. We have always posted expiration dates on all our class cards. I understand that there are exceptions such as traveling for work and I have always made exceptions for these. I do not think it is unreasonable to ask for documentation of your travels since this would help show other students that I am not showing you special difference. This is our company policy. Classes are not transferable except to family members. I greatly discouraged students to purchase large class cards if they know ahead of time that they are going to be traveling. My goal in being a yoga teacher is to help people find balance physically, mentally, psychologically, emotionally, and spiritually. If I need more money, I would go back to practicing medicine not cheat students out of their classes. So with respect to your class card, I will be happy to add the days that you were not present in town so that you may practice your yoga. I suggest you read "The Four Agreements" by Don Miguel Ruiz. I try to practice impeccability with my words. I am a Buddhist with great fear of karmic rebound. I hope you understand my last sentence. Namaste.

HTTN. May be the Lan you knew during the med school day has a dark side which you didn't see or may be she had changed. Whatever Philip said was true.
