Passing through town & stopped for lunch. Ordered the chicken fried ribeye for almost $10. Tasted like the deep fryer grease and a little on the small side and more batter than meat. Got green beans on the side instead of French fries. They were pretty good. Overall not impressed.

My wife got beef pot pie. It was actually pretty good sized.

I highly enjoy going to steak houses. When I go to steak houses I always end up eating so much that I end up having to have reiki healing performed on me. I'd love to visit Sweetie Pie's Ribeyes as soon as possible. Hopefully I can sometime soon because it sounds delicious. www.reikiforallbeings.com

I recently dined at Sweetie Pie's Ribeyes and ate the worst steak I have ever eaten in my life. I had never eaten a steak drowning in grease until Sweetie Pie's. I couldn't eat it, so I brought it home to my dog, and he refused to eat it! Not to mention the salad, which consisted of little more than lettuce that was brown on the edges.
Ate @ Sweetie Pie's last nite, the ribeyes were stringy, not the best steak in the area....doesn't even come close to Ponder's Steakhouse in Ponder Texas!!!

Not to wake up an old thread but I had to comment on this one. I've been going to sweetie pies for years and there are a few mistakes in that comment. First off, I get my steak RARE or MED RARE everytime I go in there and have never been told its impossible. Also they have more than 3 dressings (more like 5) including their incredible Hot Bacon dressing and a huge selection of relishes (which i love on my salads). On top of that, the sides aren't just French fries. There IS green beans, squash, mushrooms, broccoli soup, and a few more I'm forgetting. All are to die for. Maybe you just had a misinformed waitress or didn't read the menu.

Sweetie Pies Ribeyes is HORRIBLE! I will never ever grace their door again. It is Not the best steak in town, The Cow Camp sweeps better garbage off the floor than Sweetie Pies Ribeyes serves on their plates! My wife and I went when it was raining and after going in, we were informed that we would be seated shortly. They then asked us to wait back outside (in the rain). We went at lunch and after being seated, I asked for a ribeye medium rare, with a baked potato and a salad with french dressing. I was informed that their steaks only come medium well because they are so thin, baked potato is only served in the evening (coated with some kind of resin that turns black when cooked- you can't eat the skin) and they only have 2-3 salad dressings...no french. So I asked for green beans or what other vegatable they offered and guess what? They have nothing else to offer. Oh yeah- they have french fries... dripping in grease. They slice their own potatos and fry them. Very greasy. Finally the last straw. Their tea was soured!
I'm DONE, STICK A FORK IN ME. If you want to waste your time and money, go to Sweetie pies ribeyes. In my opinion, a Big Mac is a step up.

Sweetie Pies has gone downhill.First they change their bread from baked in-house to steamed rolls. Then they stopped cooking the pecan pie and it now taste bad. Then yesterday our ribeye was unidentifiable as beef much less a rib eye steak. RIP to a one time great place to eat
