We need more places that serve authentic Ky cuisine.

I doubt any of the scum on this board can afford to go there.

What alot of people dont seem to get is that a castle IS NOT your typical everyday sight.(Yes it is for us that drive through and live in Woodford County)

But that castle for most people that have driven past it for the past 30-40 odd years has been like a curiosity as it is for most that would see a castle. A Castle denotes fantasy, luxury, dreams.

Why debase those romantic notions by making it affordable for the everyday? One wouldn't feel the same awe and respect a spectacle such as this deserves if they could just stay in it a week at a time for a thousand dollars. Or go to the restaurant for an $8 burger and fries every other night.

Something of the level of splendor of a castle is not meant for the daily pedestrian whimsy of the masses. But for very special occasions. Honeymoons, anniversaries, wedding proposals, promotions, winning the lottery, special birthdays. Those such joyous occasions in which staying at such a place would definitely engrave deep meaning to the occasion.

Wow a fake castle.I was thinking more along the lines of a real English or German castle.

I agree it should be a special occasion place and upscale even if it is a fake castle but have you looked at their menu and prices.? It will never make it. Not when there are so many great upscale restaurants for half the price !

That place has become an eye sore. Mr. Post should be required to maintain the grounds and fences on his property.

Worst meal and worst service seen in 50 years. Food putrid, non edible and hours waiting at table. Drinks most expensive in town, a horrible dining experience--imagine your worst nightmare of a place to eat!

I would give it a try or any other restaurant in Versailles that opened up. However, I'm not going to pay 2 or 3 times more for the meal than expected. I guess you have to ask yourself are you catering to the majority of the public or just the top 5%? If it's the top 5 percent then you need to advertise in the expensive horse magazines because regular working folks don't go to restaurants that cost 2 or 3 times more. We don't because we are lucky at the end of the week to have enough money to buy GAS, FOOD and pay our bills. It's that simple.
