Hi all,
Does anyone know if tobanjan is needed for preparing tan tan men? It appears in some recipes but not in others. I bought it and the flavour is a bit too strong. Also I would like to know if rayu (which I didn't buy) is really needed. Cheers |

Hi,
I usually use rayu and not tobanjan when making tantanmen. All the spicyness should come from the chili oil. Enjoy your tantanmen!
