If you go to www.cielousa.com you can find a operations manual for free. You should try there product as well. The best in the biz.

We are about two weeks away from opening a new self serve frozen yogurt shop. We have tried about all the products, Nanci's Yocream, Honey Hill etc. We also sampled about every type, company, franchise out there. We finally decided to open a independent shop. The franchise fees are too high, and everyone normally buys from one of three major product supplier anyway. So the franchise fee and monthly fee's are just gravy to them. It could be going into the actual owners pockets anyway.
But we did try Nanci's. But found that mixing up the powder too much trouble. We have gone with a mixture of products from Honey Hill and Yocream.
BTW, anyone have any operations manuals out there for day to day operations they want to share?
TIA

Chuck,

My name is Scott Fitzgerald and Im the Vice President of Business Development for Taylor Company. I would like to first congratulate you on your new yogurt shop. Its been a very exciting year for tart yogurt. Weve been part of many successful yogurt chains over the years. But secondly, I would like to apologize on behalf of Taylor Company if you were unable to receive anything short of Top Notch service. This year is our 85th year in the food service industry and customer service has been the cornerstone of our success. We always strive to outperform our competition, however we have nothing but respect for our competitor Stoelting. I would however like to personally invite you to visit our Rockton, Illinois facility. If you are every in the vicinity of our factory , please reach out to me with plenty of notice and I will personally give you a tour and answer any and all questions that you may have. In addition, if you tell me your location and name , I will have one of our distributor sales engineers stop by and offer any product assistance you may have to start.

Best regards,

Scott T. Fitzgerald

Our new shop will have 8 new water cooled full sized, cabnet Stoelting machines. We looked at the Taylor, called them even for a demo, but was impressed with the ease in which the Stoelting dispensed the product. In short, the handles work & feel better than the paddles the Taylor machines have. And the people are nicer to work with. We could not get a Taylor rep to talk to us, even if we wanted to buy (CASH) 8 machines. We ended up with a total of 10 machines. 8 for the shop, one at home and one at our office.
There is alot of shops that have Taylor, but when we go into to sample the products, the machines often are difficult to pull, to dispense the products. We really did try them all.

If you are looking for an European supplier for frozen yogurt mix, try here:

www.plas-farm.co.uk

Or e-mail us at [email protected]

We can deliver throughout Europe, and even to the Middle East in large enough quantities.

For those asking questions on machinery, both Taylor's and Electrofreeze do good machines. Our mix is used regularly in both.

One of the local reps told us if we wanted a special cake flavoring, simply add a box of whatever cake mix to vanilla yogurt mix. Say for example, red velvet, carrot cake etc.
We have not had much luck however with the red velvet flavor. Have a machine set up here at corp office and no one seems to like that flavor.

Hi Natasha

Any luck with your business plans in Pakistan? Didn't think Pakistan was a big market for frozen yogurts. I last lived in Lahore in 2007 and loved it there. too bad Pakistan get's a lot of bad press but its an amazing country with lovely food and hospitable people.

I am planning to open a store in Singapore but am searching for suppliers too. so, if you find one in Asia, please do let me know.

Thank you

I'm seriously considering a froyo shop in Asia.

Can someone please ease my concerns that it's an over-saturated market?
