Depends a lot on the toppings you offer and the yogurt. Best estimate is 25-35%.

I keep hearing people selecting the Taylor machine, is anyone out there using Stoelting? Is there a huge difference between machines.
we went with Taylor, they are superior machines, which is why they have such a huge market share. Stoelting machines are made of plastic and suck.

Here are some links to different types of containers

Plastic containers that drop directly into the counter-top:
http://www.restaurantsource.com/cambro-restau...

Stackable counter-top units:
http://www.wasserstrom.com/restaurant-supplie...

Gravity-fed dispenser:
http://www.waresdirect.com/products/Restauran...

I personal think the cheap ones in the first link that drop into cut outs in the counter are the best.

Oh, and the profit margin on frozen yogurt depends on the price you are charging but at 40 cents per ounce it should be at least a 60-65% gross profit margin, with a potential operating margin of about 25-30%(depending on your volume and operating costs).

MICROS is a proven system. Red Mango uses MICROS 3700 in their stores. They are a more expensive than some of the basic options but they have certain management benefits that allow you to track employee hours and establish a loyalty program. The E7 is a cheaper model that has a lot of the same benefits as the 3700. If you contact them they will refer you to a local company in your area that sells and services MICROS products.

Mary,

Honey Hill Farms is the best frozen yogurt with a long history of quality product. Wang Globalnet has distribution rights for the product. We do have an Atlanta, GA warehouse which is probably the closest. When are you planning on opening?
