CielouSa would have to be the most frustrating 'potential' supplier my partners and I have dealt with. We have emailed, called (internationally) and have limited success. These guys must be so busy that they dont need commercial customers? Their website "talks the talk" but I am unsure if they "walk the walk"? How hard is it to get information from them??? Very hard - they are elusive.

I've had the pleasure of meeting with Dan Kim for a demonstration for Cielo's products. I'm not gonna say it was easy setting a meeting with him, but it was definitely worth it. The product is amazing. As far as what is for sale to the general public, this is hands down, the best!!. Of course everyone has a different pallete but for me and everyone that has tried it in my shop, we are addicted. I'd say Cielo is kind of the the underground cult favorite. No one that uses cielo wants to tell people to use them because they want to keep cielo as their own little secret. But i'm gonna come out and say it, Cielo is the BEST. Thanks guys.Hope this helps.
This sounds like a Cielo self-promotion planted post, just like so many others you'll find here. Cielo reps don't answer phone calls or emails, so what's the point of promoting this company, Dan, if you don't respond to anyone?

Just thought I would update everyone on our progress. We opened our store a few weeks ago, and we've been using the Carbawhey Zero in our shops because we have A LOT of health conscious customers. They all want the lowest calorie stuff, and when I tell them Carbawhey is 5 calories an ounce, and half a carb per ounce they nearly do back flips; not to mention it has whey protein concentrate in it and not some cheap filler. The lactose intolerants love it, and the body building and fitness types love it too. Anyway, we're using 4 duel head taylor pump machines and the product comes out really really creamy. We've had a lot of customers come into our shop rather than our competitors. Customers have mentioned that they're tired of all the yogurt shops with the same products (YoCreme), cause they're really high in calories, and are heavy on the high fructose corn syrup (fat injection system for the customers). Stay away from the YoCreme. But it's great to see that they notice high quality products like Carbawhey when they see and taste it. Anyway, just thought I'd let everyone know that we're open, doing really well, and love it.

I am pretty sure this will be helpful to someone who are looking to open a yogurt shop. Try out CarryOutSupplies.com for your Paper yogurt containers with your logo custom printed for free and really low price. I shop around before with few other vendors and found that this company has the cheapest pricing around and they waved my set up fee. Not sure how long the free printing will last for, but the price they offered to me was the cheapest i could find.
Thankyou for doing this, I have been searching for long and contacted 18 different places, much success to you, for you are truly nice to share this with everyone.

Has anyone considered joining a Franchise? It will answer most of your questions and save you lots of time. I recently opened a Frozen Yogurt store in Northern California and it has been doing okay so far, but it took me a year to open due to permits, inspections, etc... Be careful when choosing your yogurt mix because the quality in texture differs between the different yogurt mixes. Some will be firm for couple of hours and then become very watery afterward and never firm back up.

Joining a Franchise can also be cheaper because the volume is higher, so the cost can be lower.

I didn't join a Franchise because most of the other Franchises out there are either too expensive or don't help you at all, which is why I created my own Franchise. There have been lots of interest in joining my Franchise, and if you would like more info in joining my Franchise, please contact me at [email protected] Everything has been negotiated and researched already. From Machines (air cool vs. water cool), which distributor to buy from, pricing on cups, spoons, yogurt mix, furniture, architect, etc...

Also, be careful when working with Southwest Traders, they are very expensive and always misses their delivery dates. They only ship once a week, and sometimes 2 times, but it really depends on where you are located.

The best tasting, most healthy frozen yogurt is Only 8 Frozen Yogurt. I have been a customer at 2 local establishments in West Bloomfield, Michigan for about 10 years. There are only 9 calories and ounce, and so many flavors. I can buy it by the quart. When I am going out of town, I call the owner to see how far I have to drive on this trip to feed my habit. It's always worth the drive. Just got back from Phoenix. They have the best 2 stores ever. The name is Desert Swirl. Look up only 8 frozen yogurt, and read their success story. The have over 150 different flavors, and great hospitality and service.

Great website helped me find the right machines for my frozen yogurt shop. Purchased the machine and the quality of the mix and machine combination is perfect! There are not many people here in the UK that would know much about yogurt machines, powder mix, etc... Thanks a lot to sites like this..

do u know any supplier in China. My thinking is we can cut the cost down if we can keep everything in China. We want to open a premium quality frozen yogurt joint in China. But we will keep our mind open if quality in China compromises

oh my goodness. you guys need to stop trying to open up yogurt shops. the markets are already flooded with cheap ol moms' n pops' hole-in-the-wall yogurt shops. well spring machines are obviously the cheapest machines on the market and with good reason, bc they're cheap p.o.s.'s. if your going to do something, do it right, otherwise dont do it at all. i hate all you penny pinching yogurt shop owners. get a life
