Connie wrote: I'm posting up my latest findings for those who may find it useful. I'm opening up a new frozen yogurt business in a few months and am planning to expand from there. I have tried Yo-Cream, and contrary to comments that say their stuff is 'excellent', I found it rather bland and not as tasty as others found in the market. Yes, I liked the fact that Yo-Cream is a liquid based mix, but that was about it--the taste was nothing like what I've tried in other stores like Pinkberry, Red Mango, and Yogurtland. And that is not to say that Pinkberry or Yogurtland has the best yogurt because I personally prefer Red Mango's over any of theirs. Next, I tried Yo-flavor's mix, which was a tad better but still not to my expectations. I found the texture to be a bit icy and the taste was more 'lemony' or 'citricy' than soft (for lack of better words). Using it with milk is good, but then you have to remember that yogurt in powder form does not have enough live cultures and for me, that is a huge setback as I want to deliver only the top-quality products with enough nutritional benefits for my clients. And I couldn't sell such products as real frozen yogurt when I'm actually using yogurt powder and milk..felt a little uneasy on my part because I am a very honest seller. Next I tried Cielo mix--and I'm glad I found them through this site because their mix was just what I was looking for. Tastes really good and texture is perfect--creamy and not icy. Not lemony and citricy like Yo Flavor and bland like Yo Cream. I also love the fact that their mix uses real yogurt rather than milk because I feel a lot better about selling a product that uses real yogurt rather than 'yogurt powder' or milk. I don't know how their mix is able to enhance real yogurt to taste the way it does, but it is excellent. For those of you who are looking for top quality yogurt mixes, this is what I found and I hope you found above information helpful. cielo is red mango supplier

I'm opening a frozen yogurt business on a Greek island and am looking for European distributors of top quality yogurt mixes. Would prefer a European based company. Does anyone have the Cielo contact for Italy? All searches seem to lead back to cielousa! Also interested in alternative suppliers if they are of similar quality. Thanks in advance, redtractorfarm.com

Other than Pregel, does anyone know of any other European-based manufacturers of yogurt mix? Way back in the beginning of this thread there was a mention of a second large Italian supplier - does anyone know who that is? Thanks.
