San Francisco supervisors will consider a resolution today supporting restaurants that remove foie gras from their menus, in advance of state law that will begin banning the fatty duck or goose liver in three years.

Even non vegan/hippy types have gotta see how wrong foie gras is... that and veal. Pretty disgusting that not only do the animals have to live in lousy conditions then be killed, but the life they do live is tortured and sick.
I recall seeing some show where a culture believed that the more pain an animal felt when being slaughtered, the better tasting the meat. Even if the meat did taste better, there's gotta be a line that is just considered too far. Clear and unargueable torture should cross anybodies line.
