Banning foie gras is the most ignorant biased bill that I've ever heard of.READ..... do your homework, ducks and geese love their food, which is a premium grain mixture. Thats why they RUN to the funnels to get fed. You need to check out all the other REAL cruel ways that all the other animals that we consume are fed(chicken eat their own feces, chopped up steer is given to another steer for food, hence ( "mad cow disease") etc, etc. Please for the sake of free choice and preserving the American constitution that was written by our benevolent forefathers, if we loose this we are in deep s__t!! Don't be a fool and cut off your to spite your face.

When is we the poeple are going to have the right to eat what we want.. They city does NOT have the right to ban Foie Gras, Trans Fat, or anything that the FDA had approved that we can eat. If the Alerman/Councilman think it is un-healthly do not eat it.. But it is our right!!!!

Heh, did you see that several Chicago chefs are planning to serve foie gras anyways as part of their New Year's menus?

You folks need to do your homework...cramming mass quantities of food down an animal's esophagus can in no way be thought of a enjoyable, or even voluntary. Grow up, do your research, and eat something that isn't a product of torture.

Actually I have a theory that how good a food tastes is proportional to the cruelty inflicted upon the animal.

Foie Gras ... tasty
Veal ... mmmmn

Tofu ... eeew
