If you are going to eat meat, you should have respect for the life of the animal that has been taken for your meal. Eating foie gras is unacceptable given the abuse the animals suffer; preparing it without any respect for the animal, concern for the abuse, or real need to use it in terms of flavor profile is disgusting and disgraceful. I hope future attendees of this "chef"'s dinner club think twice before doing so.
