I have received an email from craigs list offering an opportunity for a job as a bartender they say that they'll be opening here in alabama soon like millbrook, prattville, momgomery area. The problem is that there are alot of scams also on facebook so I am wondering if you are actually opening a restaurant in Alabama.
Thank you so much

It sounds like a scam because I was offered the same thing in California and I could not find anything on this restaurant....

I was offered the very same thing say they want to send me my first check up front so I can get the clothes and things. All I have found on the net about this place is that it will be opening spring of 2011 in stamford (not stanford) conneticut.

I also recieved an e-mail from the craigslist ad, I contacted the company via thier Molto e-mail and am awaiting thier reply. Everything looks legit, but I need to be sure, I've had my identity stolen once before and it wasn't fun.

Well it sounds as if we are all being scammed because I recieved the same email and was told that they were opening in Pensacola....Searched the web and nothing.....to me I think I smell a scam....if you noticed they never ask a social what company have you ever worked for legally that did not need your social.............

Same thing with me. Craig's list and the identical email. They said it was opening in Gainesville, FL yet there is no evidence of that being true. How could they benefit from getting my name and mailing address??

Definitely a scam. I got an email with a waitressing job offered. Four hundred bucks up front? No way. I know how waitressing salaries work and that way isn't it. I asked for the address of the restaurant opening to make sure it was a reasonable distance before I gave the info or took the job... I wonder why I haven't gotten an answer back yet???

Seriously, the information they asked for is completely innocuous, how could this be a scam? Apart from some weird scam where someone writes bad checks and you mail your money to someone else before the checks clear, how could someone scam you with the info he asked for?
