I was wondering if anyone out there knows if tan m&ms are collectibles or worth anything? I'm watching an auction on ebay where a guy has a jar of tan m&ms, they were discontinued like 10 years ago, I thought it'd be something cool to get for my wife, who collects odd m&m stuff.. would this be weird to get her, there's no bids on it right now, so I'm hoping I get it for $.99 lol...
I dont know how to post links, but if you search "tan m&m's" it should come up.
thanks and please let me know if it'd be worth it and how high I should bid..

Tan MMs are worth more than mauve or taupe, but not as much as cadmium red or cerulean blue. If you can find the elusive cobalt series (discontinued in 1933), you're hit the mother-load!

I'm sorry to call you out but M&M's weren't introduced until 1941 so there were no colors discontinued in 1933. I don't know much about all the different color combinations and what not but I do know that there were no M&M's before 1941.

i have a M&M dispenser in shape of the blue M&M guy and he is playing a saxophone and has on sunglasses. i could swear i seen this before on ebay and the bid was up to 750 and the people were saying that this particular model is not made anymore. I got it at least 12 years ago so i was wondering if anyone would know if it is worth something. thanks

Actually if you really look on the m&m store there isn't even an option to get tan anymore, only gold, golden, shimmer gold, no tan anywhere at all.

TKpippin is right, EVERY shade of EVERY color is available, even "creme". But NOT tan!

Seriuosly? First thing, that guy was joshing you and it was pretty funny, because tan m &m's are worth exactly what you would get if you ate them and waited 12 hours. Kudos to the guy correcting the guy that was just kidding. Now I think we all need to stop looking stupid things up on our iPhone.

My husband is thinking of bringing back the violet and tan M&Ms. Does that sound good?

The tan ones were the best. I liked alternating the tan and browns picked out from my bag. I'd share any other colors, but not those two!

Don't see why they discontinued it.

I found an odd shaped M&M and was wondering if it was worth more than enjoying the chocolate. It's shaped like a capsule pill.
