So what are we celebrating according to the title, the forth day of the month or Independence Day? I can't tell.

We're celebrating Freedom. And in doing so, I am free to smoke a 22lbs brisket overnight and I got 4 racks of pork ribs too.

Sides will be:
Black Eyed Peas, Mustard Greens (a bit too early in the season for collards), Corn Bread, RC Cola, Red Kool-Aide, and Peach Cobbler with fresh made whipped cream..........

My brother and I will be up all night, we'll raise the flag at sunrise. Folks will show at about noon. I'll take a nap before heading downtown for the fireworks. And back to work Thursday!

Happy Forth of July or Independence Day or which ever you prefer.

Yea, but you're still not free to smoke 22lbs of MJ.

The state of California makes medical pot legal with a prescription from a medical doctor. London, er, I mean Washington DC trumps the state law and keeps MJ illegal, medical or recreational.

As the Bostonians had a "tea party" to protest against London, perhaps Californians out to have a HUGE pot party to protest against the repressive laws of Washington DC.

I am against anything that puritans are for.

Marx's definition of a Puritan is, "one who looses sleep worrying that someone else in this nation might be enjoying him/her self."
(Groucho Marx, that is.)

Oh, my goodness...

The better half just got home with fresh apricots. She's gonna make a pie too!

Starting my fire at 6...
The brisket will go in at 8...

The holiday has started for me!

You had to wait two hours after your better half started your fire until you put your brisket in her?
