Bastrop has always been one of my favorite day trips, and it's one of the few places in Central Texas that reminds me of my Piney Woods hometown.

Come explore Bastrop state park with the Texas Outdoor Family program! On September 29th, you and your family can learn or refresh you basic camping skills from expert park rangers. We'll also teach you kayaking, geocaching and other fun activities that will entertain the whole family. Workshop space is limited; $65 for a family of 6.
