Buying meat from a local butcher does not reduce the chances of contamination.

Best way to be safe?

Buy a meat thermometer and cook your meat to 160 oF.

E Coli outbreaks have occurred in cucumber, tomatoes, lettuce, spinach etc. Look it up if you don't believe me.
