El Burrito Loco in Joliet on 30. I like the steak with both the green & red salsa. Though really, I make the best tacos at home, after a 60 mile round-trip to Pete's Fresh Foods in Chicago with its great store-made fresh pico de gallo and its still warm soft corn tortillas from local vendors who deliver several times a day. Grab some of their great avocados, fresh cilantro, chose from several kinds of queso fresa and mmm, heaven in my own kitchen.

none of these locations - they are all terrible as they know the folks they cather to don't know good Mexican food if it smacked them in the face. You need to go to Chicago where there is real competion amongst real Mexican restaurants cathering to Mexicans.
<quoted text> Lol yes because you are the mouth of all that is Mexican.
I'm laughing too - that is funny! Seriously - I recently moved to New Lenox but last 30 yrs Chicago. These Mexican restaurants out in the suburbs are using inferior cuts of meat when it comes to staek tacos, e.g.- inner round / outer round etc. They are not using what is refered to as true "Arrachera" meat. Very tender beef makes for juicy tacos. They don't season well and they actually allow for fatty part of the meat to be served. You should not have to chew fatty or hard chunks in your tacos! BTW - I actually am Mexican!

Yes I know - Comales on 26th / Cicero / Berwyn area... Atotonilco - 47th Ashland area, etc... I grew up eating these joints and still do - yesterday as a matter of fact... Just saying they do things different when in the burbs - I'm sure you can taste the difference.
