Is this a ploy to curb imports or real scare? What about putting a little damper on electronic imports by the U.S. Government. We might see see mad cow disease turning into sane, saintly profits and friendly handshake!

Japanese government is taking an advantage of the current condition.
It would last until the end of the next election by saving Japanese ranchers from going mad. Today it is a trend to eat sheep meat instead of beef here in japan, Mongorian style.
