Filippo Caffari, arrivederci e buona fortuna.
Good luck to Frank and friends at finding a replacement. Love the pasta bar, pizza, and hogies in the deli. arrivederci e buona fortuna

??? A Jimmy Theros owned the St. Clair Broiler back in the early 80's. Did the place fall out of the family's hands for a while? I disliked the place back then and haven't been back since. The management treated the staff like dirt.

Quote: "For years, the father/son team was content running Rudolphs barbecue in Minne-apolis. Now, they own two more restaurants — the St. Clair Broiler in St. Paul and the Town Talk Diner in Minneapolis"

Huh? "now they own ... the St. Clair Broiler" Jimmy Theros founded St. Clair Broiler many, many years ago.

I think that the Jimmy Theros that owned it first was the uncle. The new Jimmy theros is the nephew. Ie, The original Jimmy sold it to his brother and his brothers son also named Jimmy. Nancy, will you verify this?

To Still Bob To Them: By far the DUMBEST comment I have seen all year. If you don't know what you are talking about, shut your mouth. Why don't you reserach before you post stupid comments about people/restaurants that you don't know. I've known Filippo for many years, and he is by far the most humble person I have ever met. He would work for peanuts because he loves what he does for a living. So before you start judging others, look past the restaurnat and see what's really going on.

Two Jimmy's have owned the restaurant. A few years ago, Jimmy #1 sold it to his cousin, Jimmy #2. The Jimmy mentioned in this article is Jimmy#2.-- Nancy Ngo

I guess your being appointed the "czar of dumb" has caused you to lose any sense of humor you may/may not have had. LIGHTEN UP,MORON!
If there was anything FUNNY about what you said, someone could find the humor in it.

StILL BoB to EM - it's painfully obvious you have absolutely no clue as to who Fillipo is or what kind of a man he is. I've known him since the Michelangelo days and he is a big sweetheart and loves, loves, loves his food (as do we!) I agree with the other two, shut up. You don't have the facts, all you have is your own experience to go on, and you have absolutely no right to judge someone you don't even know. So, no, you're not funny; you're an arrogant, know-it-all jerk.

Restaurant food is for people who eat to "fill" their belly. There are people who actually enjoy eating the diverse food out there.

That on top of all the new burger spots set to open within the next year or two.
They'd better offer good coupons!!
