i am very succeptible to Aspartame poisoning. about a month ago i was in a taco bell and got a regular dr pepper. i took a drink and it did not taste right. i took it to the cashier and told her and asked for another cup. the lady behind the counter looked at two people sitting next to the fountain drinks and said its still not right. one of these people who worked for drpepper. said to me " we are using a new formula and it is not mixed right". since then i have been noticing that fountain drinks without aspartame taste strange and i get dizzy spells soon after. ive got a sneaky hunch that the drink makers are mixing aspartame in with sugar. they do not have to label these products and could easily get away with it. only a few at the top would know the truth. the underlings would be told that it was simply a new mixture to taste better. scary times we live in folks when our own government and others want us neurologically screwed up.

I hear ya. I've had those spells before. I wonder if someone at the taco bell got lazy and hooked up a diet canister to the regular fountain because they were out of regular ...and hope no one would notice.

I've sent emails to Coca Cola asking if aspertame is in their regular soda. I'm allergic to it and I get the same red flush in my neck when I take just a few sips of a regular coca cola.

i recently went to a dollar store. i looked at the label of reg soda many varieties such as grape pineapple and cola and all had aspartame in them
when it was said they hooked up the wrong soda... maybe they didn't and aspartame was added...
so if an off brand is doing it ... what stops the major players from sneaking it in ?

i have done my research and ahve noticed that lots if not all of the soft drinks have aspertame in them. i feel like i have been suseptable to many of the symptoms as i have had, headaches, abdomine pain and nausea. i feel that we are being fouled out of our mind and the fda does not even worry about it as long as they are making money. i suggest that you drink only drinks that have no sugars or artificial sweeteners. however, it may not be labeled because of the fact that they do not have to inbclude all ingredients in the labeling process.

I get heart paplatations after chewing sugar free gum. I stopped that but now I've had paplatations for several days and am also worried it is McDonalds coke or Pepsi.

I was recently hospitalized for severe headaches. Migraines and all serious neurological disorders have been ruled after extensive testing. I know aspartame gives me headaches so I consciously avoid that sugar substitute. After the hospital stay I had to track all dietary habits. The common denominator is fountain cokes. I was drinking regular coke from convenience store fountains almost daily. Is aspartame in regular fountain sodas now? If we are not informed as consumers then we are being misled. I hope the beverage companies are paying attention!!

Just had a regular coke in a bottle called classic coke and woke up this morning with a killer headache. I am convinced there is aspartame in all soda. The pain is incredible. Can't function at all. I'm nauseous and sick. Checked all my foods that I ate last night and can only come to one conclusion, and that is all soda has aspartame in it!

i am living in spain, canary islands, you cannot imagine the lack of info here on aspartame, they still sell it in bottles in the supermarket!, but my solucion to it all is, eat healthy , no more sodas, just water, some milk, tea, and coffee, and no more health problems,

Is it not possible that the caffine in these drinks are causing those of you experiencing headaches dehydration hence the headaches? Dehydration is one of the top three reasons to experience headaches with the other two being fatigue and hunger. I have experienced this more times than I can count. Just a thought...

Why not stop drinking their 'products' period? The fact that they try to blow your bain cells in even one product should make you and those you know boycott these companies outright. Hit them where it hurts and take responsibility for your own lives. Support people and their businesses where they do the right thing - "but COKE is CHEAP!", if so, welcome CHEAP HEALTH and keep complaining

Read the book "Sweet Poison" by Janet Star Hull. No doubt it is unsafe; it just doesn't affect all people the same way. We have personal experience from my child's exposure to it, and she barely lived through it. She had the exact symptoms you describe. She suffered severe brain injuries at 3 years old, she is now 21 and can not live a normal life.
