If folks cannot afford to feed their kids, should they really be having children? Just another burden on the taxpayer.

I'm not talking about people who lose their jobs, etc. buif you are on welfare program and continue having babies they should be removed from your care! I tell my kids it is MY responsibility to give them nutrition, clothing and a roof over their head! Kids should grow up with people who can do that for them

Benefits should only be long term under extenuating circumstances like death, illness or whatever. Put conditions on it and if the parents don't meet them boot them off and put the kids in homes where they are given the proper care

Correct. The bare minimum for having kids is being able to feed them. If you cannot do that then they should be placed in a home that can.

No it is called responsibility slick. This nation has become a land of entitlement. Wat happens if a stray dog comes on your property and you feed it? It never leaves.

Really? There are tons of families ready to adopt, all without having to pay them to do it.

Children cannot help it but parents can. This free lunch thingy has been going on for decades. We give them homes or assistance in getting home. Free money at tax time for NOT working. Free this and free that. It's old. Time for the human race to step up and stop the breeding because it feels good and gets you free stuff.

This is totally shameful that we keep rewarding people to have more kids. It's now a way of life that is into generations.

Enough already. Stop the breeding. Stop it I say!

Thank you. What is sad is the fact this entitlement age did not happen by chance, it was engineered. What better way to control a society than one that needs the government for even the most basic of things.

Well slick, you gotta start somewhere. As for those tax breaks, not as much as these brood mares that leach of the government and still get 5 or 6 grand with the "Earned Income Tax Credit". Though really how much did they earn? Like I said, we are now an entitlement nation. 50 million or 1 out 7 people you meet on food stamps and 10 million or 1 out 30 people you meet on disability. Sorry slick, but the majority of them are just moochers.

Sounds good to me. Equality means just that, equal. Give everybody the same basics in and out of school. That means everybody, each person, gets the same dollar amount for housing, EBT and such. If they then want to spend that buck on public housing then let it be their choice or need. Oh and if they want to spend that EBT on chicken wings then fine.
However, I see a need for a limit on breeding more mouths than one can feed. So we need a limit on mouths that we taxpayers are forced to feed.
The whole "good intentions" system is out of whack.
It's time to break the cycle because the cycle has broke our country.
We, as a people and as a country, do NOT have to keep feeding and housing failure. Just say no.

The only way that will happen is if we all vote, but with over half the folks sitting on their ass on election day we are doomed.

I care about them quite a bit actually, especially with parents like theirs! Who is teaching these kids to have pride and want to do better for themselves? They're learning how to use the "system" to live.

Thank God you had us pay for your public schooling; as bad as you write, it would be much worse without my taxes propping you up.

Do you have any knowledge of how the Democratic Party was once the party of white southern segregationists, and the Republican Party was a liberal, radical party founded by abolitionists?
Not saying either party is "good" or "right" these days...but you need to go back and check your history before the 1960s.

Yeah? Well I would never vote Republican and I don't agree with this program. These people are getting EBT, Seamless Summer Feeding AND THEY ARE TAKING LOADS OF FOOD FROM THE TRACTOR TRAILER THAT COMES THROUGH EVER SO OFTEN.

Here are some thoughts:
Several observations:
Many of these feeding stations are in churches.
In some areas of some states they are almost exclusively in churches.
These are federally funded.
These are taxpayer funded.
Many of those fed are also in families with EBT cards.
While food is suppose to be consumed on site, there are indications that some is taken away uneaten. Some say no, that only fruit is allowed to be taken out, still.

I wonder if the churches let those fed think that they, the churches, are providing the food?
I wonder if the fed also gets fed a daily dose of religion?

It is not a black and/or white issue. I have seen no documents showing racial breakdowns of these "Breeders and Eaters". Those are their two main life activities. It's been going on for a few decades and generations now. You cannot tell me that some of these have not figured out what exactly it is that causes babies.
I'm old. My wife and I chose to NOT have children because we felt, at the time, that we(note the "we" rather than a "you") could not afford to feed them. We had a hard time from paycheck to paycheck of feeding ourselves.
We have NEVER taken the first penny of welfare or food stamps.

FeedYourOwn. If you cannot feed them then stop breeding.
