Ann Burton knows her monthly food stamp benefit will be cut by $40 beginning Nov. 1, and she doesn't know how she and her disabled husband will make up the loss.

The food stamp cuts are deplorable. I could say that I am a disabled social security recipient who also writes and translates but the truth of it is that anybody should be free of the cuts. It is unfair to the unemployed and the working poor. Meanwhile wall street continues to get fatter and oil subsidies and many others continue to flow from the us government. Boooo!

Yet, you see nothing unfair about the government forcing working people to pay taxes so they can send money to people who don't work to earn it?

Yes, people who actually work for it have money and they invest that money on Wall Street. Funny how those who want a free ride are always so resentful of the people who have money, but they ignore the fact that the people with money have educated themselves and work for what they have. It's not unfair that the taxpayers have what they work for, it is unfair when those who don't work demand we give them something for nothing.

Subsidies, to corporations and farmers, keep those businesses thriving...which creates millions of jobs, and produces goods and services, including the food the Welfare recipients spend their SNAP benefits on. Without business, military and farms this country would not exist, it benefits ALL of society when our tax system supports a strong economy.

On the other hand, there is no benefit to society to dump trillions of dollars into a Welfare system that supports people whose contributions to the community (IF they contribute anything at all) are not even valuable enough that it pays enough to support the person themselves. That is a trillion dollar drain on our economy.

You want better for yourself, get off your butt and make your life better. That's how those you resent for having money got it and they don't owe you a dime.

Their is always corruption in these entitlement programs and yes they need to fix this to where the people who are trying and need the help can get and the ones who just use the system as a sugar momma. Not everyone in the welfare system wants to be there believe me. It is great to have when people are down and out, until they get back on their feet and it is a good program. It just needs to be TANF. Temporary Assistance for Needy Families. key word temporary. Over half of all food stamp recipients work full time jobs and still do not make enough to cover it all. So that leaves the other half. They should make drug testing mandatory.

Get a job! Stop having babies with worthless men who don't pay child support and/or are in prison for selling heroin. Stop trying to sell me your food stamps for half the price so that you can get your crack fix. Cut coupons. Shop the sales at the grocery stores. Don't use your EBT card at the village pantry to buy your kids donut holes and then call it breakfast. And again...get a job!

So much hate???? I am so sick and tired of these lazy welfare mothers and their worthless baby daddies taking advantage of the taxes I have to pay for them to live.

And don't get me started on your Christian crap. You are all a bunch of nasty hypocrites. You go to church and once you are out the door you refer to black people as the "n" word. You so called "Christians" make me sick.
