I have tried a little cornstarch. I do not like it much. It does not have that earth taste. I think that is what is lacking other than that the texture is fine. I like the chunk clay because I like the crunch then the smooth texture than comes after having it in my mouth for awhile. I am trying to find some at a more reasonable price. The shipping an handling can really send you over the limit. I guess if I want it bad enough I better start saving my pennies and treat myself again. I just love clay.

Hi Flyy girl, do this shop in still selling this clay?
Hi Ish, They most likely are still selling it. I went there about a year ago and I was searching up and down the isle but it was right next to the till on the bottom shelf. They sell it in little clear plastic bags with about 4-5 cylinder shaped pieces per bag. They tasted slightly ashy and burned, are quite gritty and crumble in the mouth. When you bit into it you can see that is has many different clay pieces in it. At first I didn't like it at all. Then it grew on me until I ate the two packs I bought. I haven't had any since though.

Hope this helps

How's everyone doing? I finished my box of cornstarch. I tried something a lil different. I put a some water in it, let it set for a couple of days, put it in the microwave for 20 seconds.....I licked the bowl clean...I enjoyed the crunch! I just got another box....food lion brand again...I've had 4 spoonfuls. Sometimes I like it crunchy and sometimes just straight from the box. I also went to the vitamin store and purchased aloe vera...it helps with digestion. Since I eat a lot of cornstarch I decided to drink that (2oz) twice a day.....continuing to drink water too...

Hello ladies, can I have some opinions please?

What do you think is the earthiest tasting clay, and if available online would you mind providing a link?

Thanks

Enjoy (but not too much, lol).

I remember when I used to eat at least a cup at a time. How much do you eat total per day?

Tried some microwaved cornstarch a little while ago, thanks for the idea (I had tried microwaving before but think I left it too long and didn't like the texture). I had some baked cornstarch that I'd put in the fridge that had lost its crunch. Short blast in the microwave added a nice little crunch to it!

All things clay.....I didn't do too much damage....lol. How much I eat depends on my day. The more stress the more I eat I can do about a half a box in a day. After I eat my dinner I find myself eating it. Even in the middle of the night. In the morning before my coffee. Sometimes I take a bottle of water and my cornstarch is my snack. Sitting watching tv instead of chips I have cornstarch........

Hi all,
I just ate some DE!!! about 2 table spoons, after i ate some chips from the chippy. It tasted quite strange, not the same taste but that might be due to the long time period since having any. Not too keen on it now. I prefer the Luvos healing clay. It is sandy in texture and tastes a little bit earthy. I will be ordering more of that, and it comes in a small box so over eating it is quite hard, plus two teaspoon fulls and it satisfies you. Again I only tend to want it when I eat junk foods - so eating the clay will be few and far between.

My mouth is watering thinking about this Luvos - it sounds really good being a bit earthy. I looked it up and see that it is a type clay that I'd read about before called loess that is said to be twenty percent or less clay and the rest sand and silt that is loosely cemented by calcium carbonate.

My mouth is watering even more after looking at pictures of the loess hills!

I know what you mean, that clay in its natural state does look appealing.

I feel bad for those people of Haiti featured, and others, if it's true that they are forced to eat it due to hunger.

Hi Ackee, not sure if you can get it in the US but the online site that I got it from is a European company and they do deliver to the US but cost is quite high at about 30 euros - not sure what that is in dollars. Here is the link if you are interested: http://www.purenature24.co.uk/buy/luvos-heali...

Hope this helps

Yeah it is. I wish i cld do some sort of trade off with them. I wld gladly give some of the "ordinary" foods we have here for their clay. Some of those kids look healthy tho considering the situation.
