How do you like it?
Ball clay is ok, earthy with tiny gritty pieces but a bit too chemical in taste for me. I tried making chunks by mixing it with water but it doesn't mix well at all with water - no matter how much I stir. All I eat now is Diatom Earth, it comes in powder too and it's really easy to make chunks from it - plus there's health benefits.

ladies......... we are anemic and we need to take iron supplements. Please go to the doctor and have your blood tested.
This addiction is killing me. My teeth are very sensitive because of excessive clay consumption.

I get my diatom earth (DE) from a UK company called diatomx. They deliver to different countries too. I also got some off ebay (the UK one). Make sure you get the human DE also called food grade. I just received some DE for animals from a different company (cuz it's cheaper and the owner said there was no real difference)- There is a difference. The animal kind is a dark brown and tastes salty - not like the human kind which is a very pale light brown/grey with no salty taste. It's smooth soft and melts in the mouth. It's is dusty like chalk so does get on your fingers. It has a mild taste a mixture of earth and chalk - I cant really describe the taste - you just got to try it. It tastes better in the chunks than the powder. And when you mix it with water you get that earthy smell. Someone from the US told me about it, so DE is available there.

That's some funky shit! How many calories are in clay? Is there any nutritional value at all? Does it fill you up? Maybe someone can market it as a diet plan. lol. Why not? People have done stranger stuff.
please don't knock it until you try it. It's real good. Especially on rainy day

I really enjoy the Ghanaian clay called 'ayelo' or 'shile'. I crave it constantly. It is grey and egg shaped. I try not to but too much when I find it because I will eat it all at once! The shop I usually buy it from has sold out!
Does anyone know where I can buy it in London please?
Try one kotoko shop in Harlesden
