I have just been to the dentist, who has confirmed that my teeth have been worn down as a result of eating clay and causing my teeth to become very sensitive. I am addicted to the clay from Ghana, however I am getting excruciating pain my teeth as a result of my addiction. I don't know what to do :-(

Hi, maybe try using a toothpaste for sensitive teeth like Sensodyne. This should help as well as cutting down on the amount of clay you eat. My mum had the same problem and she chose to suck the clay she ate because it wasn't baked. So she could still enjoy her clay without worsening her teeth. Hope this helps!

What's the difference baked and unbaked clay? Will like to order but not sure what I'm getting cos I've always eaten the Ghana clay

Hi, basically its a special clay that is dug underground and in its natural form when you eat it unbaked it forms like a smooth clay texture that you can suck on but I always bake mine to my taste so that its crumbly but I can still suck on it a bit. The longer that you bake it the harder it gets where you can't suck on anything. It all depends on what you prefer.

But the flavour is like the smell before the rain that's the best way I can put it. It's a beautiful earthy flavour and definitely not salty as I've heard some clays described. It will be sold in random chunks and the colour is like a light khaki brown cream colour.

I hope you have a better idea of what I will be selling and if you have anymore questions just let me know.

Finally!
So happy to receive my order today MavuSeller! I ordered the baked clay and I had previously become accustomed to the clay that can be bought in Kenya by getting my friends to bring some over. However, often I found that some of the clay was too hard and as a result was wearing down my teeth. When I tried this clay though it was just the right amount of crunch and I definitely appreciate the gift, very useful!
Will definitely be ordering again! Good value for money
what was the gift? and the taste

My mother ate clay while pregnant with me and so I think she passed on the craving for that earthy smell. Since I was a child I have eaten sand, chalk, clay, bricks and anything that tasted earthy.
When I became anemic due to Fibriods the craving intensified to the extent I would spend my last 10 on ten bags of the grey egg shaped clay from African stores. I was eating about 4 bags a day and the craving was more intense after meals and when I felt anxious, stressed, or upset I would always eat clay to pacify my mood swings
I also started to get easily irritable and would only calm down when I was munching away on bags of clay
I am no longer anemic and the craving is not as intense. But I am still heavily dependent on clay to calm my emotional and nervous edge. I feel Zen'd out to all my worries while I'm eating clay and it feels like the same short term fix recreational drug users describe
While the sensitive teeth and constipation caused by clay doesn't bother me I worry about the ability this grey clay has to control my psyche.

I know the feeling. I always enjoy it when I get off of a stressful day at work. that is the first thing that I do is munch on clay. My husband says i am acting like a drug addict.

Helloo :)
The taste is very hard to describe but it was very different to the clays ive previously been able to gain access to in England as it wasn't salty at all which was great. The gift was a free storage container to keep the clay in which was good as normally, depending what container you keep in, the clay may absorb different tastes. The container helped keep it 'fresh' so to speak'.
Very highly recommended! just placed my next order
