Does anyone know where I can find clay in chicago? My wife is a doctor and doesn't understand why I crave clay so I need to be able to buy it from a brick and mortar.

Oh my days guys!! I've been looking for a forum like this for people who eat clay/dirt for like ever!
Just to let you know.. I've been eating it since about 2002 and have never stopped since. It was annoying as I could only ever have some when relatives brought some back from Zimbabwe (the BEST comes from there I must say). I love it sooo much and would crave it which would drive me crazy because there would be no way to get especially for me and my sistas in the uk.
Well, ladies, I have found a way to start getting BULK clay sent from Zimbabwe (I have tried MANY types and I must say this is the one that tastes more like 'the smell after it rains':D its soo on point)I'll start selling online for UK customers (FINALLY!!) and overseas soon enough. I'm just waiting for the first shipping from Zim so if you want to be put on my waiting list just send me your email address and i'll send you the link to my website when it is up and running.

And, oh...I decided to try DE (diat. earth) from Dollar Tree, which was Cat litter. SMH. I just tried chewing on four small pieces because it said 100% DE. I was very addictive...so I will not do that again. I just chew on it and spit it out, but could not help myself...so please send me some websites or etc for ordering clean, satisfying clay...no DE and no Bentonite please. Need to try something else. THANKS!

What the deal with eating clay. I eat a ton of it and I am 40 and have never had any health problems. Kaolite tastes like rain with a hint of peanuts and it melts in your mouth like chocolate. It gets rid of heavy metals like murcury, so it doesn't give you murcury. It binds at the molecular level to get rid of toxins and heavy metals. My brain has not suffered like most in our population due to vaccinations and being injected with these metals.
Human beings have been eating dirt and clay since we left the cave. It is just that society shuns what it doesn't understand. You can get help for it if you want, but it is perfectly natural. I would never recommend just eating dirt of the ground, bateria and parasites - but clay from Georgia mines or Red Teramin clay is fine.
It may have killed brain cells- Mercury.

Hi Clay Habit, I only eat the food grade DE not DE in cat litter. The company called Diatomx sells the DE for human consumption. Here is the web link:

I dislike the bentonite/montriolle clays too. They just form huge clumps in your mouth and are quite salty. I really enjoy eating Kaolin (china clay/white dirt). But as I live in the UK I can only get it in powder form. Some types stick more to the mouth than others. I would really love to try the kaolin chunks you can get in the US. Here is the company link for the Kaolin clay I really like. It's better than the rest I've tried and it doesn't stick to the mouth as much.

I had an elderly black friend from Texas who ate clay. I've heard it is a holdover from Africa, where peeps eat clay for the minerals. Once you eat it, you begin to crave it. I tried some once from my friend, but I didn't become addicted. Now that meth I tried from my other friend ... that's a different story!!

Wow, I ordered from Clay Remedies on Saturday and got my order today (Monday). That was really fast. I actually like the chunks of edible clay. They even sent some free samples of tablets and powder. Love to bite into chunks of clay. Yes, I am very anemic and have low thyroid, but I have brought my thyroid to normal with medication and never had a problem with clay absorbing my meds. So far, I like there clay...."so far"

Hi Ray, for health benefits you should try the bentonite edible clay. But I warn you it is salty and forms huge sticky clumps in your mouth. If want something which tastes nicer then try the kaolin clay (China clay) small amounts are fine to eat and it hasn't done me any harm. But don't eat too much bcuz it bloats you. I mix my kaolin with calcium carbonate powder (this powder is fine to eat). It taste good to me. There are no health benefits that I'm aware of for eating kaolin (but then again many pica items have no health benefits that are known by the west yet). hope this helps.

Hi Ray, yes, the DE is for human consumption. There are different grades for different uses. The food grade DE is for humans. Just search 'Food grade DE or Diatom Earth' on the web. I've ordered mine from a UK company called Diatom X. Here is the link:
http://diatomx.co.uk/epages/eshop439661.sf/en...
Other sellers have it on ebay too - Just be sure that the DE states food grade/human comsumption. Hope this helps. Happy earth/clay eating.
