The typical customer of a Panera Bread restauant is well educated, upper-class and affluent. I hope this Panera can be successful in Beckley.

We are well educated but middle class hope you don't mind me eating shopping for bagels there with you. By the way what are you going to do when my coal miner wife and kids(no college degree) are in there.

take your uppity ass out of Beckley. The well educated parents don't make their kids work and poor parents can't drive out there with 3.70 gas. So who is going to work or eat there!

I wish the best for any new establishment in town. We need the company.

Maybe they'll have a separate, private area for the "well educated but middle class" coal miners who don't shower and put on clean clothes... or even wash the soot off their faces before going out in public.

Yes, that is correct. We all know other cities have Panera Bread Restaurants. Sorry, but I don't own a pickup truck.

As far as traveling past the county line, I'm now retired after traveling on business for many years. I've eaten at no less than 50 Panera Bread restaurants in 26 states. I used to sit at a back table frequently in the evenings at various Paneras and do paper work instead of sitting in a lonely hotel room working. The free Wi-Fi at the Panera restaurants made it convenient to send the day's reports by email to my office.

Just tired of people saying panera is some elite place to eat. If they put sausage gravy on everything they would have opened early and been packed

Panera Bread is a chain restaurant. It is not "upper class." You probably think Olive Garden is too. What a dumbass.

I didn't know that buying coffee and a bagel makes someone well educated.

It's probably a good thing that a round trip from my home to the new Panera's in Beckley is almost 40 miles. I love Panera bagels with honey-walnut cream cheese and would be there far too often if I was closer. I'd hate to find out how much weight I would gain if I could pig out on bagels anytime I wanted.

I know so well how you may feel about chain restaurants. My family and I feel very uncomfortable when we find ourselves dining among our hired help. We do occasionally enjoy Ruth's Chris Steak House but of course it's just another chain restaurant organization. I just don't understand from where all these ne'er-do-well dregs of society are emerging.

It is fortunate that restaurants such as Olive Garden and Panera Bread exist. I'm sure the uneducated people such as "hahaha" who are unable to spell "dumb ass" correctly enjoy such venues.
