Missisippi is the state with the highest rate of obesity. The corollary is that it's also the state with the highest number of blacks per capita.

Another corollary: Mississippi ranks 49th in attainment of graduation from high school. A different way of looking at it. Uneducated people make uneducated choices. They make the kinds of choices their white, black and even purple grandparents made, who broke their backs doing the equivalent of outdoor hard labor, spending gobs and gobs of calories doing so, needing the carbs for energy. That made sense then, not now.
