Yea, I think it's ridiculous we pay them salaries of 6 digit figures and they take away our freedoms.

HillJacks,

You still have the 'freedom' to smoke. It is just WHERE you can do it. You can do it around the kinfolk, or out younder, you just can not do it where people are meetin'. Condoms are legal too their Hoss, but I don't think you wanna see granny and cousin Leroy using them up on top the pinball machine. Know what I mean?

Dave Thomas is the worst he thinks because he is blind that he can influence others because of his handicap what a worthless piece of shit Kenny Davidson is no better actually we the people should vote. If they think we should not smoke during Strawberry Festival why do we all not to get to vote instead of the six assholes on city council that chose in what they want instead of what the people want.

I felt the urge to post this again!!!!I believe it's time for all of upshur county to have a say in what happens in our city, not just the people living within city limits. Even business owners that have a business in city limits don't have a vote even though they pay the taxes. I believe it's time to abolish the city government all together and create an upshur county public works. Let the upshur county commission handle things and that way we would all have a vote in city matters. The police could become a part of the sheriffs dept. but be assigned to the city limits for their patrol areas, but if needed in the county, they could go also. The city water and sewage and so on could all be part of the upshur county public works as well as the adrian psd, and mt.hope psd and so on. It would be so much simpler and with less corruption. As for ignorant bans...we should all have a vote on matters like this...after all, the majority is supposed to rule. I just think it's sad that people are so ignorant to want to have so much control over the actions of anyone that doesn't think or do as they do. People are so greedy.....next it'll be big macs on the hit list!!!!

I think the Mayor might chew a wad or two in public places himself.
