Looks like they're trying to put themselves out of business. That place was empty all the time until they started selling those $4 meals. I guess they want to run off all their business again.

Truth is Steak and shake is a ripoff. Too much money for the food your get. The old style diner motif is outdated and lame! The chain needs to get with the times. They don't make anything worth $4 to eat in there.

4.00 meals at Steak are a deal compared to over fast food joints. Imagine using steak for the hamburgers. On the otherhand the 4 buck meal is probably not payong the rent.

Again we are running a business and trying to make money. We are not a not for profit like semo. We have lots of costs to name a few utilities, taxes, salaries, maintenance on lot and building, francise fees the are paid to Steak 'n Shake, and we have to deal with $4.00 meals were we make exactly 8 cents. To top it off we have a bunch of employees threatening to walk off the job because they think they should make 15 dollars an hour.

Yeah god forbid you rich scumbags pay people a wage they can live off of. Then again the Drury's wouldn't know anything about what it's like to have to live like a normal person. You're all to busy lording your money over the rest of us, and turning Cape into an eyesore by plastering your political ideologies all over the place.

And those sound like the words of someone that was born into money and never had to do real work. Thanks to these corporate extremists, the lower class has no hope of bettering their place in the world. Minimum wage is less than half of what a minimum wage would be.

Stop buying into the corporate propaganda machine.

Don't worry, when the communist liberals and the moronic workers who have been demanding $15.00 a hour at fast food joints get through that $4.00 meal will be $40.00.

I don't ear fast food much but when I do I don't buy any stinking value meals. There's no value in value meals just smaller portions and usually made worse than the regularly priced items.

Good luck making more money with that attitude. If you want to make a lot more money, start your own business and quit trying to suck the life out of our business. Why would any business pay someone more money if they didn't have to? Not going to happen!
