Thank Publix for there turn around,
this will help a lot of people. Now
someone needs to talk to Wal-Mart,
the amount of food that they discard
daily is a shame, when so many people
are going hungry, this would be a
big plus for them also if they could
donate this food instead of puting it
in the compacter.

Kudos to Publix for trying to work this out.
There are so many stores & restaurants simply filling their dumpsters at the end of the day. Bagels/donuts being tossed by the dozens. These would fill many an empty belly.

God bless the people working for a solution to feed the people. What about ice, dry ice and coolers? Instead of relying on refridgerated trucks.

Aldo, in case you are unfamiliar with internet ettiquite, it is very impolite to type in all caps, especially when you have little to say. You should feel fortunate that you have the money to have internet service and a job. If you are an employer, maybe you could offer jobs to the hungry?

I agree Publix is doing a great thing to collaborate with feed the hungry and make money donations as well as donate food. Building awareness and concern about a cause is a typical cause promotion but indeed a wonderful one. Not only is Publix helping the community but also they strengthen their brand positioning and create new target markets for them. As a Publix customer I always donate money to the charity! It’s a win-win for everybody! Don’t you agree?
