sometimes a warm drink can help relax us.

i'm not talking about caffeinated or alcoholic drinks - but a glass of warm milk (calcium helps), a herbal tea or ovaltine/horlicks can help relax us through soothing warmth alone.

a banana (potassium, magnesium and tryptophan) or some wholemeal toast or oatmeal (to trigger insulin release and help you feel happy, and sleepy)can also help.

try it out tonight...

hmmmm...very interesting. The concept of healthy eating reducing stress isn't new, but I had not heard about sunflowers as being one of them. I will have to experiment with that one. Love it. Thank you.

My ways to combat stress are pretty simple:

1) Eat right
2) Exercise regularly
3) and Get enough sleep

With those things you might still be stressed out but you'll feel better overall.

Managing stress can be fairly simple once you understand the physiology of stress. Once you understand that, all the options for coping with stress make more sense and increases the motivation level to integrate them into your life.

Personally I alway thought a warm glass of milk was great to sit, relax, and be stress free. But I also think adding a little chocolate wouldn't hurt.
