Cuts to food stamps begin Friday
#1 Nov 1, 2013
Nobody will starve with $36 less per month. If you don't like where you are in life do something to change it.Oh yes you can if you put your mind to it.If you don't do anything now you never will and your children will grow up holding their hands out because that's all they have ever known. If you don't want to do it for yourself then do it for your childrens future and stop crying the blues because some gravy fell off the gravy train.Good Day and Good Luck!!!

The Republicans got their wish!!! Why didn't they just cut oil or farm subsidies instead of letting little children go hungry?
Republicans will answer to God one of these days.

No one will go hungry over $36 per month. You won't go hungry a tad over a buck a day taken away.I can only hope you are not as dumb as you sound.

Thank god. It pisses me off to see some of the laziest worthless people fill their cart up with junk food, sodas, and all kinds of meat and then check out with food stamps. Then they load all the Ill gotten food into a vehicle nicer than mine. F**kem.

Wonder if God will think a screaming fetus is a baby?Wonder if God agrees with gay marriage? It says in the bible if a man doesn't work he shouldn't eat!!

I'm sure both party's do things that Jesus is not happy about but taking food from the poor and giving to the rich is not something he would support.
That's the basis of the Teapublican party since the Evil Koch brothers took it over. Do some research before you think the Democrats are the unGodly party. And by research, I don't mean propaganda you heard on Fox News.

Post Industrial, Post Consumerist, Post Family,
Everyone's Helpless in the Planned Society,
We Used the Nation to Protect Employment
Which Left Enough Crumbs for Our Enjoyment,
But We're Regional, Global, We Must Compete
With China's 25 Cents a Day Children, Bare Feet,
And Race to the Bottom to Be Sustainable,
Money's Devalued, Good Food Unobtainable,
Yet We Must War for International Masters
And the Bill When Due Will Be a Disaster,
Yet Every Politico Will have Salary Raises,
Lifting Their Voice to Bankers He Praises,
"No It's Not Conspiracy, We're Just Evolving,"
Experts are Hired for Chaos Resolving,
Foundation Backed Organizations Run Our Existence,
Projects Picked Up by Media, Repetitive Persistence

The democrats put their hands in the cookie jar about four years ago and gave the foodstamp increase. They have no clue how to budget money. Too much spending and someone has to stop it. Who? That's right the republicans. Think of a house hold budget. Our country can not afford to dish out the dough. People that are taking advantage of the system needs to figure it out and get a job. Yes there are jobs. We all understand that food is not cheap but continuing to support out country is not cheap. Also if you are thinking that there are no jobs. Look around, because there are. You may not make a lot, but work and sit an example for your family and people around you. I recall when I worked in a grocery it was sad because the people on foodstamps bought junk food 99% of the time. Also, I do not get it when food stamps can buy a cake in the bakery but prepared food can not be bought. So if you are on food stamps and complain about missing $36 a month think about buying a cake mix and icing instead of the $15 cake. Also both parties have done wrong. Nobody is perfect but let's take a look about what each party believes in since that was brought up from another poster. God frowns on abortion. Think about it. That is a living baby growing. How is it right to murder the fetus in the womb? It is not right to murder outside the womb. There are certain reasons why to abort, but did you get aborted? I'm off topic but just wanted to give my twi cents after it was stated. Looking at the big picture the democrat party stands for many things that God did not vision; like abortion. looks like they have to answer to God to. Peace and pray for our country

Democrats are the ungodly party!! You can't be a Democrat and be a moral person much less a Christian!! Republicans certainly arn't perfect but by far more moral than the Democrats!! Most of the poor in America are fat not starving!! Everyone including the rich should keep the majority of their money!! Democrats have created a huge voting underclass who live as well if not better than decent low wage workers and that's not right or Godly!! I'm not a church goer but I have morals!! I've watched Fox News maybe twenty times in my life so you can't blame them for me knowing right from wrong!!

Hmmm, Howard Buffett, son of billionaire Warren Buffett, receives welfare. Folks, he's lived billionaire status all his life and he gets a government handout. His hand is all in your pocket.

I disagree. I don't agree with abortion or gay marriage but Democratic values are much more inline with what Jesus taught over the greed, racism and hate the modern Republican Party has become.
Not saying you can't be a republican and be a Christian too but I would feel like I was doing wrong by supporting a party that lies and spreads hate so bad.

There has not been any mention of a single dollar reduction in foreign aid as a result of sequestering.
All items cut were for the express purpose of hurting the American taxpayer/working people the most!
DEMOCRATS and Republicans
('different' ONLY in name)
We read all the jokes and forward the good ones
but I just wonder who will pass this one on.
How about you sending it on, and back to me,
if you have enough 'chutzpah' to do so.
Someone please tell me what's wrong with
All the people that run this country!!!!!!
Both Democrats and Republicans
And can't help our own
But, over the last several years THEY
have provided direct cash aid to...
Hamas -$351 M,
Libya $1.45 B,
Egypt -$397 M,
Mexico -$622 M,
Russia -$380 M,
Haiti -$1.4 B,
Jordan -$463 M,
Kenya -$816 M,
Sudan -$870 M,
Nigeria -$456 M,
Uganda -$451 M,
Congo -$359 M,
Ethiopia -$981 M,
Pakistan -$2 B,
South Africa -$566 M,
Senegal -$698 M,
Mozambique -$404 M,
Zambia -$331 M,
Kazakhstan -$304 M,
Iraq -$1.08 B,
Tanzania -$554 M,
...with literally Billions of Dollars
and they still hate us!!!!
But on the other hand,
Our retired seniors,
Living on a 'fixed income,'
Receive NO aid!
Nor do they get any breaks, while our government
And religious organizations will pour
Hundreds of Billions Of $$$$$$'s
and Tons of Food to Foreign Countries!
And another atrocity...
We have Hundreds of adoptable
American Children who are shoved aside
To make room for
The adoption of
AMERICA: A country where we have
Countless Homeless without shelter,
Children going to bed hungry,
Elderly going without needed medication
and the Mentally ill without treatment -- etc.
They will have a 'Benefit' Show

One of the main values for which Jesus Christ lived was helping the poor and needy. He also lived a life helping those that couldn’t help themselves.
Never once is there an account where Jesus asked someone why they needed help, he just helped. After all, was it his place to judge? As much as it might be popular to say,“We’re all born equal”—we’re not.
The circumstances that I’ve overcome in life aren’t equal nor are the abilities within each of us to handle them the exact same way. Some of us are stronger than others and some of us simply face obstacles which we’re not mentally or physically able to overcome.
A family that might have a child with autism overcomes obstacles I can’t imagine because I don’t have a child who has to overcome such adversity. I can’t say to them,“I know how you feel,” because I don’t.
So it’s absolutely ignorant to judge others based upon a notion that,“I did it, so can they.” It’s also naive to judge people based on a minority of people who abuse generosity.
But this is exactly what many Republicans do and the entire Republican party builds their platform on. They’ve perpetuated this myth that,“We’re all created equal”—which is a lie. They’ve also built this idea that the majority of people on welfare are abusing the system—another lie.
Most people who need help, need help. And no, we’re not created equal.
Jesus Christ knew this, which is why he didn’t judge those who needed help. Jesus also spoke out against greed, because greed is really the root of most of the world’s problems. The desire for excess often comes at the expense of those who can’t fight for themselves.
Even during “Biblical times” they had the two-percenters. Those who had everything, building it on the backs of those who had very little. This is something Jesus Christ stood against.
So you’d think a party which claims to be the party of “Christian values” would rise against greed and embrace humanity. But they don’t. They base their “Christianity” on church attendance and fierce opposition to abortion and same-sex marriage.
