I have to inform all posters that I am the new owner of the former Crossroads Grill. My new location - TC2's -(condensed version for "The Cursed Corner") will be opeining by mid fall.

What I can promise is a family friendly atmosphere during the day with a very solid night life.

The food will be solid pub fare ranging from traditional wings to whitefish/perch. Prices will not exceed $13.

Drink menu will be great with the possibility of some items that are rarely seen anymore.

Think of this establishment as a Buffalo WIld Wings with a hint of nightclub.

My place will not only provide a place to eat and party, but will also cater to the community in giving back through many charitable events.

South Lyon - you will not be disappointed.

And all of the negative comments about prior business there - be advised that I know how to train my staff and they will be top notch!!!

Drink and eat up South Lyon!!!!

Look for me in Sept/Oct of 2010.....

Good luck at the CC... Many have tried... All have failed... Make sure you have deep pockets, looks like most of the owners bailed after they figured they could pay the bills... Good luck to Crossroads New Owner... Your gonna need it.

I'll be there! Good luck!! It wasn't always the cursed corner. Used to be the best spot in town! Anyone else remember Jimmys?

The rent there is supposed to be very expensive. People don't have the money to back it. The Hotel's food was better (albeit not by much) and they obviously just ordered from Sysco. I may not be in the majority, but when I go out I want to go somewhere that has GOOD food and cheap drinks. The Hotel is an institution and will shut down anything that pops up in that building unless they can come up with an original concept.

on another post about the crossroads, looks like yet another owner with a promising future claims not to let us down this time - the new name will be TC2's *(they said, short for : the cursed corner) they claim to be open in Sept or Oct....I did notice yesterday that all the bar stools are gone from the "garage" and the notices that were plastered all over the front doors were removed. could be a good sign, I just hope it can be anything but a empty building!!! as for norms...give him a short wall around his parking area - he's just here trying to make a buck like the rest of us!

Good luck with that! South Lyon would be all up in arms over that! Although they did allow that teen club with bikini contests for a few months.

So, I'm guessing TC2's fell through? The building still states it's for sale, and it's almost winter.

If South Lyon would be up in arms about a "HOOTERS", then why in the world is their a sign on the building that says "Coming soon in Spring 2012, Hooters"? It's plain as day on the south side of the building for those driving by to see.

As a new resident coming to SL, I ask why in the world would our city council ok a new Hooters resturant in downtown? There is a time and place for everything, but not a Hooters on Main Street!!!!!!

Hooters, if they were smart, would look to the New Hudson locations - McD's, Applebees, etc, for their new location. This is a poor marketing call on their part. I'd be curious to know who/m approved the decision to allow Hooters to set-up shop and a small, family oriented, downtown city.

If this does occur in downtown SL, and although a new resident, I'll be looking to move again. I came to SL to enjoy the family communiity with my family (3 children), not to get closer to a "hangout" type business.

Hello fellow SL residents - am I the only one that has noticed this sign and questioned the ok for this business? Is this acceptable for our community, and is this the message you want to send to existing and new potential residents?

I look forward to others speaking out on this issue!

Probably because money talks. South Lyon is so desperate to get anything in that building. Many have tried, all have failed. This is the same city that thought no problems would arise with a teen club. Hooter's will fail also. Location is bad, high overhead. Hooter's will be busy for a couple of months, just like the previous restaurants. Then the South Lyon hillbillies will find something wrong with it, and quit going. The same hillbillies who ruin every establishment that serve alcohol. The only reason the Hotel is still around is because it's been there forever, and it's a habit. It'll crush Hooter's I'm sure. But good luck to them.

"...there are to many police officers on the main street. who wants to visit a south lyon eatery when all you see are police.we know that they are doing a service to us but we also know that most people wont visit down town for fear of being pulled over."

So, folks won't visit downtown because they fear the police?
Are you serious? Get real...

South Lyon cops are obnoxious. I was pulled over 12 times in one month, because they knew I worked at a local bar and got out at 3am. The horror stories of overzealous South Lyon cops are numerous. If you live in South Lyon, you know what I'm talking about. If you don't live in South Lyon, you probably won't understand.

I couldn't agree more. A bunch of jerks that get carried away with tasers and billy clubs and get away with it. They harrass people and truly have nothing better to do since there isn't any real crime so they feel like they want to be real cops. Jerks.
