Fat and lazy comes in ALL colors: black, brown, white & yellow
And likewise, there are some very successful, hard-working black, brown, white & yellow persons.
If there is a lack of workers to pick fruit, it's probably time to re-instate the 'chain-gang' and make prisoners start earning their keep.
I'd rather have prisoners do basic manufacturing- clothing or shoes or license plates etc; it's more cost effective to turn the prison into a defacto factory.

Cutting off all welfare will solve the worker shortage in 30 days.

Why won't white people on welfare become farm laborers?
Because farm work is hard and Americans of all colors have become fat & lazy.

The majority of Americans are at least 30 pounds overweight.

One third of all Americans are OBESE.

Any questions?

Because big agribusiness will use the increase in labor costs as an excuse to jack up the prices at the supermarket. There is about a nickel's worth of wheat in a loaf of bread, but every time something happens to cause the price of wheat to go up by a penny, they raise the price of a loaf of bread by a dollar. Same thing for meats, milk, cheese, etc, etc, etc.
Just like the oil & gas companies use any & every excuse to jack up prices at the pump, whether it's justified or not.
Are you really that na´ve?
Yet you are in favor of increasing energy prices but not the wages of farm workers. If I have to spend one or two hundred dollars a year so Americans can have decent paying jobs I am o.k. with that. If I have to spend thousands extra a year to stay warm so that the C.E.O. of Exxon can make a few million a year more I do have a problem. Steal from the poor to give to the rich must be a right wing Democrat thing.

Where did I say I favored increasing energy prices?

I support switching over to renewable energy sources. There is no reason the price per unit has to be any higher than what we currently pay- except of course for corporate greed & political corruption.

Where did I say I opposed increasing wages of farm workers?

I'm glad you're willing to pay more so Americans can have decent paying jobs- so am I. Unfortunately the overwhelming majority of Americans aren't, which is why we import so much cheap crap from China.

Nice back peddle. If you do not believe what you post then don't post it. You have made it quite clear that you support "comprehensive immigration reform" and now you say you do not support amnesty and doubling the number of "skilled" workers brought here as indentured slaves. Do you or don't you?
You also support increasing prices for fossil fuels to reduce consumption. Just read your posts on the subject. If you have had a change of opinion in the last hour or so then good for you.

Could it be because welfare pays better than farm labor? Of course if there were no illegal aliens that had to work for less than poverty wages then American whites, Hispanics and blacks would do the work at a reasonable wage. Of course if the people that support illegal immigration were not the same people that have created a welfare system that pays better than working it might be possible to get the non-deserving off of welfare.

I've read my posts as I posted them, so I don't need you to tell me what you think I meant.

Where in the immigration reform bill does it say farmers & agribusiness can't raise the wages they pay their workers? They can raise those wages at any time.

I do NOT support bringing more people into America- PERIOD. We're full. As long as we have 20+ million unemployed Americans, there is no reason to bring in one single more person. That's why I support ZERO immigration and stationing Marines on the border every foot with shoot-to-kill orders.

I support the US switching over 100% to cheap renewable energy. What you morons continue to pay for fossil fuels is your problem.

White, black, Hispanic, Asian, etc- who cares. They all keep claiming there aren't any jobs, and yet we have thousands of employers desperately seeking employees.
Quit yer whining and go get a job.
I have a job.... and I'll keep whining about all the shiftless whites who suck on welfare and refuse to work.

They're doing all the jobs the fat lazy Americans refuse to do; it's just that there are MORE jobs than there are illegals available. Since we all know the unemployed fat lazy Americans won't do these jobs, obviously we need MORE illegals, not less.
Lets not forget that some of YOU, are also on your knee's .
They say that some of those little latino boy's do it better than women .
