it will be a cold day in hell before i spend another penny at any of these establishments. they are making the list of things people are allowed to say shorter and shorter. i hope they enjoy their bottom line being narrower and narrower!

she made a mistake and she apologized, what more do they want? the way walmart treats their employees, they have a lot of nerve letting HER go! they need to worry about their management.

And the truth should come out on the heads of those companies... are they squeaky clean or have they never made a mistake?

While I am no fan of Wal-Mart's, they are doing what they have to do. Many of their customers are African American. How can Wal-Mart continue to actively support someone who is perceived by many to be a racist? That's just bad and stupid business practices.

You may not think she's a racist, but others do and their opinions and feelings on the matter count as much as yours. So if you aren't happy with it, don't shop there.

Wal-Mart should have more command since, like the other so call stores, etc. They sell movies in their stores that have that word in them. Movies are made saying that word. HOW STUPID CAN WALMART OR ANY OTHER STORE THAT PUTS THIS TO BE SO HIGH BE…..?
No stupid business practices are to make this a big deal. This is a civilized nation. I hear blacks call backs that. I see it on TV to make a big deal out of it is WRONG. This is not in the Stone Age… I grew up thinking Negro was a race, the black people until I was told other wise. White people are called bad names by blacks, etc. 40 yrs ago a was treated bad by some customers who were black, a black child punched me in the stomach to tell me to get out of her way her parents did not do anything. I was pregnant than also. I had a friend at that store who took up for me she was black other wise I would have been will not respecting them. I grew up in a small town with only a few blacks but mostly Mexicans and to tell the truth I don’t know if I am correct on calling them that. I have friends now who are black and I love them dearly. I think what makes us different is how we were raised. YOU/ME… different cultures. Look inside we are all the same. WalMart was wrong to stop using her stuff. Paula apologized, it was from the past. Someone wants to destroy Paula that is the only reason it is out like this.

Ms. Deen's ordeal teaches us two lessons:

1. Even if a thug is beating your loved one to death, never even think of, much less say that word.

2. If asked, immediately reply: I have NEVER EVER used that word in my WHOLE life, and I am offended by that question.

I think the black on black crime is much worse than a word spoken 30 years ago...

How about all those gang shootings in Chicago by N#@gers each day in Chicago. thats far worse than what she said ..

Paula Deen, I hope is rich in spirit and may God Bless her because the man has failed her...

I have just seen a few seconds of Ms. Deen's television appearance.

She was crying and begging for forgiveness.

She has no reason to debase herself like that.

She should have just apologized.

Nothing she says or does will satisfy those people who are always whining about how badly they are treated -- instead of behaving themselves so that people will respect them.

Just read that her publisher is also joining in kicking her: they won't publish her books anymore.

I hope the "silent majority" will support her in any way possible.

Some of you say go back to Africa. I guarantee if we all decided to move to Africa you guys would go back to get us. Face it, you guys can't survive without us. Most of you are too lazy. You're not going to do your own work. The blood of your ancestors runs through your veins. Your ancestors are the ones who invaded Africa. My ancestors were cultivating their own land and minding their own business. Your ancestors were determined they had to have us in their existence and they did it by any means necessary. For God sakes, It took them 6 to 7 months to travel from America to Africa. How determined were they! They saw how hard black people work. They knew we were hard workers by nature and they took full advantage of us. White people generations ago were plain ole lazy and that's the bottom line. They didn't make that insanely long trip one to kidnap my ancestors. They made the trip over and over and over again. I believe they hit every country in the continent of Africa. You have the audacity to say go back to Africa! Kunta Kinte can tell you how he desperately wanted to go back to Africa, but your ancestors weren't having it. You come from a line of lazy kidnappers and rapist. Lazy! a white person should never let that word roll of their tongue to describe anybody black. You guys are inherently lazy. The blood of your ancestors runs through your veins. In this generation I have come across so many good white people. Some of you have big hearts. Just 5 years ago a found out that many of you are actually hard workers. One love.

Maybe a rhetorical question considering the nature of current society; But I posit the following: Why would WALMART sever ties with a professional quality woman who admittedly used an 'N' word a score or so years ago BUT; takes NO ACTION on the 1000+ garment workers who died in Bangladesh making products for Walmart to sell to us?
