Make your own smoked BBQ at home in the crockpot/slow cooker.

1 3-4 lb. beef brisket or pork loin
salt, pepper, minced garlic
3 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
3-4 tbsp. liquid smoke

Lay meat on large sheet of heavy-duty aluminum foil, then rub meat all over w/ salt, pepper, and minced garlic. Sprinkle w/Worcestershire sauce and liquid smoke. Wrap foil tightly around meat, then place in crockpot/slow cooker. Cook on low temp. for 10 hours. Remove from cooker and carefully unwrap meat and pour juices into a bowl to use as au jus, slice meat and enjoy. OR shred meat w/ 2 forks, mix with cooking juices and a bottle of your favorite bbq sauce, and enjoy the best bbq sandwiches you have ever tasted.

Go to Bama-Que in Spruce Pine (near Wal-Mart), it beats the pants off Smokey Que's. It rivals the legendary Lexington Barbecue.

The best part of BBQ is the next day, when noone is looking, take the little silver, hatch off the bottom of the pit and lay under the burnt drippings. I do this without a shirt on. After i get good and full, the highlight of the bbq experience is when I rub it in my mustache and on my belly while holding my paddle- ah yeah.... mmmmm... baby! Does anyone else agree with this or is it just me?

Does anybody remember when the Dysartsville fire department served BBQ at the boy scout camp twice a year? That was really good.
