Anybody old enough to remember The Big Bow Wow on Sunrise Hwy. In front of Two Guys and Whites'? We're talking 1950s here. Out in the open air, flys in the condiments with the nasty, crusty wooden sticks in them. NOBODY ever got sick back then. God; I miss the carefree days. Frank Buck's after lunch. Johnnies' All-Weather every summer saturday night. But; I digress. Post some 50s/60s memories from Massapequa. Lived there from birth 1952-1960. Then; Lindenhurst until 1971.

Yes, when I think hot dogs the first thing that comes to mind is how clean the set up is, kukdos.

From The Simpsons when Mr. Burns invites the employees over to his mansion for an employee picnic:'Take your mind off contaminents for a day and have a hot dog.'

Ever notice there are no bathroom facilities anywhere near that trailer? Guess where the vendor goes when he has to? No secret why those sabretts have that special "tang". Mangia !

Where did the guy who sold hotdogs out the side window of the LI Cafe(recently closued nudie bar)go? What a wacky idea that was.

Listen all of you people out there,

I am a hot dog fiend, and I'm telling you I stopped at a hot dog truck in Patchogue NY at exit 52 Sunrise Hwy, on the North side service road heading West. This guy has been selling hot dogs since 1972 and he started in the Bronx. Man his homemade onions are fantastic, haven't had great onions like this since my dad took me to Charlies when I was just a kid. You have to check him out and above all this guy has the cleanest hot dog truck I've ever seen in my life. I think the name of his truck is Dog-Me-Out exit 52 heading west on the sunrise highway service road. You'll be glad to get a real new york hot dog here, i have to say I think he is the best.
