Mormons carry a few more pounds

Could being Mormon mean you pack on more pounds than atheists, agnostics or people of other religions? Yes, according to Brigham Young University science professor Ray Merrill. Full Story

Too bad they did not come in a jar and sell it with a turkey baster.

Imagine that. We could get Pres. Monson to come in a jar and send it over to Africa with a turkey baster and start breeding them in Africa.

What a concept.

Mormons dont seem to take not eating meat in the summer very seriously. Most mormons who are born in the church just never have drank coffee or tea to develop a taste for it. I dont see the difference between one or two cups of coffee a day, and eating meat everyday, which most mormons do.
The tea is probably safer tahm the meat, the digestion issue, I mean.

Better check the shopping carts at Wal-Mart and Smith's to see how much of the Pepsi and Mt. Dew is loaded in them.

Stop by a Maverick during the morning rush hour and see the Mo's loading up on the fountain drinks(coffee would be much better for them considering the amount of HFCS loaded into those 32 oz. jugs they swig down on the drive to work). Yeah, WoW really prevails.

Are you related to PPandF? If not it sure sounds like you were bitten by the same rabid bat - only he seems to be missing your dyslexia and also seems to be a few points higher on the spelling and grammar charts - not much, don't get me wrong - but I've never seen anybody else on here butcher English quite like you.

Unhealthy body , unhealthy mind==prison cell for your spirit. I was minding my own damn business till someone knocked on my front door and tried shoving their beliefs down my throat. Since when was physical matter separate from spiritual matter? Another revelation by Joseph Smith. The sacrament you eat every week (wonderbread?) should remind you of the body of Christ... If the eyes are the window to the temple, then what is the mouth? Would the temples be a pure if I hosed down every white room with Mtn. Dew and Mickee Dee's? My brothers and sisters of the world ARE my own damn business . ONE WORLD, ONE CHRIST, ONE BODY. The religious always want others to listen to their beliefs but can't take any positive (helpful) criticism in return. What about Christ's return? Open your hearts not your mouths.

Well,, I am Mormon and Fat, but who cares what I do to my body or how my I litter on this earth. One day Jesus will just give me a brand new body, and make all the trash I spread in Mother Nature all sparkly and clean again. I mean, everyone is fat these days -- why should mormons be different? SO WASTE AWAY!!! We'll just get another perfect body if we're really sorry, Riiiiiiiiggghht? It's Famine Time!!!

Mormons believe some very bizarre doctrines - such as polytheism, men who become gods, God was once a man on another planet and so on. However, their first "prophet" Joseph Smith is the central figure of the Mormons, and on the night before he was killed he spent the night with his brother, Hyrum, smoking cigars and drinking wine in Carthage jail. Most Mormons are not aware that Smith was a winebibber!

I can't believe you people have so little to do in you lives, that you'd sit here and critique the dietary standards of Mormons. Why don't I come over to your house and flip through a few weeks of you Weight Watchers Journal, see how many ding-dongs and krispy kremes you've gone through the past few days or go stand behind the treadmill at the gym and make fun of your thunder thighs tromping on there. Mormons have adopted a dietary program that has been valididated by many independant health studies. If you don't want to be a Mormon, good for you. But find something else to do besides criticize other people for not living up a belief system that you don't believe in anyway. In short: MIND YOUR OWN DAMN BUSINESS.
When you all are out peddling your beliefs it is our business. Mormons are not a healthy group and why would I adhere to no tea, which is healthy and gain 100's of pounds eating crap food. Either your body is or isn't a temple. False docturine, is false docturine. Didn't you all once upon a time condemn black people and marry underage children? It's no wonder this country is so screwed up with Satan using the Bible to distort truth and run it into the ground. Women are subservient, blacks, gays, children all less than those who looked like Columbus.
