Just be careful in NY, some PRs and Dominicans have adulterated the original receipe and use Italian bread and American cheese in place of French bread and Swiss cheese....disgusting!

The PR's and Dominicans have their own sandwiches . No need to copy ours.

In NY they give you the option of French bread or Italian and you pick your own cheese .

Cuidate infeliz

Cuban bread is an offshhoot of French bread. The French, and Italians were very influential in Cuban culture, along with the major infuence, Spain.

Good food is good food . Sometimes its nice when they change up a little the original recipe . But that pressed Cuban smothered in mustard sounds good right now.

Strange thing is that I live among the Cubans and NEVER see any eating a Cuban sandwich. About the only place I even see them is in the tourist section of Calle Ocho.
I'm curious....how many of you Cubans eat Cuban sandwiches on any kind of regular basis??

We are actually going to open an eatery for just Miami Cubans by calle ocho .

We plan to call it "The ethnic voting , incapable of honest government , separatist ingrates café".

We find the name fitting for the Miami junta.
