Funny tho that you flame Bush for his healthcare policy. However, you do realize that it was only slightly modified from Clinton's initiative that did not pass. The two policies were nearly identical.
Interesting too, you slam RomneyCare. You do realize that ObamaCare was modeled after RomneyCare. LOL!
You liberals are hysterical. Hypocrite much?
And yes you are a liberal. It is obvious in your Bush this, Romney that. Not a single fault given to any Democrat. All you did was confirm my previous statement that you are a brain dead Liberal.
I'm the one who pointed out to you that Romney wrote Obamacare in another post. You must not be very sharp. You'll fit in well with Obamacare.
Thanks

<quoted text>Let me try to be even more clear. I have been around politicians for quite awhile. I have found some to be quite amiable and sincere, and some who are opportunistic scoundrels. This is true of both major parties. If I am a liberal, it is because I usually identify with causes that are labeled as liberal.
My first exposure to Barack Obama was at the 2000 Democratic Convention. After he spoke, I turned to my wife and said he would be president one day. Even though his experience in national politics was slight, I could tell he was an inspiring, sincere, and uniquely visionary man who reflected my own political ideology and world view. A very special human being, I thought.
When Obama was elected president, in my opinion he quickly demonstrated his strong convictions and leadership qualities. I was also proud to be part of a country that would finally elect a president who was black.
But Obama was na´ve about one thing. His dream of uniting the country instead had the opposite effect. It brought out both the open and latent racism that exists in our country today. I don't think Obama realized how deep-seated that racism could be. From the very start, they attacked not so much his policies, but his right to be president, spreading hateful lies about his country of birth, his allegiance to America etc., all in attempting to delegitimize
his presidency.
Despite this headwind of hate and obstructionism, Obama has accomplished goals that I believe in. It saddens me to think how much more Obama could accomplish if an atmosphere of compromise could prevail in Congress.
Do I think Obama has made mistakes? Yes, I do, and he is usually the first to admit them. But do I question his sincerity? Not for a minute. I can only hope that the next Congress is populated with more rational representatives, whose primary purpose is to make America a better, fairer, more compassionate place, rather than to obstruct and destroy the president.
You asked for a serious reply. Maybe it's a bit long-winded, but I've tried my best to give you one.
Good stuff. Thanks for the response.

It may come as a surprise to you, but Obama is not really The Messiah, can't create food by magic, and needs the cooperation of Congress to feed those hungry mouths. Bleat!
And therein lies the problem. Brainwashed Statist sheeple who have been indoctrinated by the Socialist education system that it's government's responsibility to feed the people.

Federal employees cost taxpayers $146 million each year when they upgrade to business class flights. The Government Accountability Office found that more than half of these upgrades were not properly authorized.

Why is Obama on a future 50 dollar British Federation Bill in the remake of Total Recall? He could have objected to it and had them remove it.

Take a good long look at that currency note.

http://www.thelivingmoon.com/forum1/index.php...

That tells you who will be running the New World Order -namely London Banks with an enslaved China under their control. And guess who undermines and destroys America to make it all possible?

Obama is the George Washington of a global Nazi banking New World Order in the movie -and possibly real life if Americans don't wake up and defend America right away.

The man is just a disgusting manchurian candidate/traitor for offshore London/EU banks who is being directed to sell off all of America's assets to China. The man needs to be impeached -the smug bastard enjoys wrecking this country every way he can you can tell.

And he probably will get his face on that new NWO currency if we citizens allow America to be destroyed.

Impeach Obama through the courts (the right way)-there are plenty of impeachable offenses his administration has commited.

Those who can not do for themselves are screwed.
Hopefully, as the government begins to take away food from the table of the needy, kind hearted people will voluntarily step in to fill that need.
With the passing of the American's for Disabilities Act there are very, very few people who are truly disabled and not physically able to be gainfully employed in today's high tech world. So, you're comment should read, "Those who WILL NOT do for themselves are screwed."

The "kind hearted" have been screwed for decades, taxed to death to support the ever increasing Welfare programs that have dumped trillions of our hard earned tax dollars into supporting generations of people who refuse to take care of themselves and continue to have children to increase the burden on taxpayers. They are all shameless and quick with a sob story that paints them as a victim and, they believe, justifies them taking money they did not earn to support a family they should not have.

It's time to make drastic and meaningful cuts to all the Welfare programs and force these people to become self-sufficient and responsible for their own families. Our country's history has shown that the American spirit will motivate most of these people to find a way, when they are forced to by need.

If you're saying that legitimate tax breaks given to oil companies (as with other industries) is "giving" them money, smell your own breath.

Pee-yew!

Btw, regardless of the tax rates, the average amount collected is about 20%.

You offer nothing but the same tired banal talking points.

Aww gee... now some name calling.

btw, "fight against your own best interest" is another hackneyed, puerile talking point of the lame left.

But I can tell you need help. Her's a start:

Hauser's law is the proposition that, in the United States, federal tax revenues since World War II have always been approximately equal to 19.5% of GDP, regardless of wide fluctuations in the marginal tax rate.[1] Historically, since the end of World War II, federal tax receipts as a percentage of gross domestic product averaged 17.9%, with a range from 14.4% to 20.9% between 1946 - 2007

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hauser%27s_law

Drink deep... you need it.

And quit smelling your farts.
