Gee, now why would restaurants "go childless", and why would many adults prefer these eateries? The answer is right in the article, "children running amok".

Maybe adults are sick of having to deal with other people's snot nosed children being obnoxious and ruining a lovely dinner.
If your kids can't be expected to sit quietly then get a sitter.
