Coors was forgiven for its corporate bigotry when it actively and financially started supporting the lgbt community.

Why should Chick fil A be given any quarter just because they're trying to walk back their xstainist prejudice, imo?

Well, good for them. Really, their new direction sounds promising.

But I'll never eat at one of their restaurants again. I was never very wild about their food, especially their waffle fries, and after that ridiculous political brouhaha, I found other options I'm much happier with. Any marketing professional will tell you that it's almost impossible to get an unhappy customer to walk back through your door once you've lost them, and that pretty much sums up my attitude towards Chick-fil-A.

Cathy's opinion hasn't changed and he's walking back nothing.
The chain always served gays and hired gays, he still believes that marriage should be between one man and one woman. All he is doing is separating corporate policy from his personal beliefs.

Cathy hired a gay publicist when the stuff really hit. He did try to walk back his remarks by trying to rationalize them, and by making a big deal of inviting a gay "friend" to the Superbowl.

The company is running from its brand of xstain homophobia as fast as possible...without offering anything concrete as apology.

The chain has always provided, at best, a creepy and unwelcoming environment for any non xstain or non hetero employees, imo. No company can avoid hiring people who aren't out.

You're not saying anything.

It sounds like an empty, self preserving gesture only, certainly with no genuine amends.

Glad you won't patronize them, however.

Oh, I was referring to their menu innovations, not their new "Don't Ask Us, We Won't Tell" public policy.

Don't they have serve gay people?

I mean like if you order a big sandwich and tell them you're gay they can't just throw you out can they?

I don't see what all the drama is about anyway.

Just don't broadcast that you are homosexual to the rest of the customers while they are trying to enjoy their meals.

Even if the corporation stopped funding hate groups, which they are not going to do, but even if they did, the Cathy family will still continue to privately give their own millions to hate groups.

So guess what? Unless they start actively supporting pro-gay causes, with both corporate and private funds, they're just the same old bigots that realized that it's bad business to openly hate on people.

And they'll start actively supporting pro-gay causes when, you ask?? Oh. That would be never. They will never pull their heads out of their fake "christian" asses long enough to realize that they're being about as un-Christ-like as they can be without getting actual blood directly on their hands.

Deal!! Just as soon as you stop broadcasting that you're straight every second of every day. Sound good?

Oh, and they'll happily sell food to the gays. Money is their actual religion, despite their protestations of being "christian". They'll take money from anyone. That's no problem.

But then they'll give millions of dollars to anti-gay hate groups. Nice, huh? So the only way to stop part of your money from being given to hate groups is to not give them *any* of your money. Make sense??

It would be like someone said to you, "just keep quiet and told tell anyone that you're stupid" while you patronize a company that donates a portion of their profits, in the form of your money, to anti-stupid hate groups. Does that seem reasonable to you?

That reminds me of the LL Bean controversy that began in the 80's and continues today. LL Bean itself claims to be very progay, and all the evidence I've seen confirms that. But the corporation is closely held, and Linda Bean is the major beneficiary of the family fortune. And she gave millions to anti-gay initiatives in the nineties. During the 2012 election, she claimed that "Obama is Hitlerian, and wants to eliminate totally our liberty rights and our heritage."

So when you buy your sporting goods from LL Bean, you're supporting a right wing wacko. It's not that I have something against conservatives as much as I have something against people who depart so far from reality.

Chick-Fil-i already is a serious player on the fast-food stage and has been for years. They should never lose their values, and they should realize that their success has a lot to do with those values. People appreciate a company with back-bone, and God must be on their side. I am, however, very excited about the new changes in the menu. It will be a great restaurant getting way better. Thanks for the free advertisement for them and information for their customers!

Hey cretin, it's all about future growth, which for them means out of the more buybull, ignorant areas of the country.

That means, "backpedal," from the homophobic brand thing almost as fast as possible.

Your other ruminations are irrelevant, unintelligent and unnecessary.
